ENTITY shares summer writing internship

This summer, I have the privilege of interning at the ENTITY Academy Summer Writing Internship. I feel this internship will not only help me to strengthen my professional skill set, but will also allow me grow in all areas of my life. Through the ENTITY Academy, I hope to:

1 Step Outside My Comfort Zone

Accepting the ENTITY Academy Summer Writing Internship was a major step outside of my comfort zone, since I’m an introverted home-body. I’m hoping that this internship will help me come out of my shell and build confidence in myself and my abilities. I decided that I can’t progress by playing it safe. As a result, I chose to challenge myself and take the plunge by accepting this opportunity.

2 Overcome My Shyness

We want ENTITY Academy Summer Writing Program participants to learn confidence during their time here.

I’m a wallflower, so I’m perfectly fine blending into the background and staying out of the way during the writing program.  Beyond taking a risk in my professional life, I’m hoping that this experience helps me to become a little more extroverted and embrace my social side. I want to tackle social events head-on and become more comfortable and confident when all eyes are on me.

3 Conquer My Personal and Professional Goals

I’ve always wanted to write and be a voice for the voiceless. However, I’ve been told what I can or can’t do throughout my life. I’m hoping that, with the help of this internship, I can prove the naysayers wrong. I want to achieve my goals so others will know that they can too, despite what people say or what obstacles stand in their way.

Overall, I am hoping the ENTITY Academy Summer Writing Internship helps me be fearless in my professional ventures and forge some lasting relationships with my fellow interns.
