ENTITY Mag shares what I loved about the ENTITY Academy Summer Mentorship Program

Throughout the past seven weeks, I have had one of the best experiences at theENTITY Academy Summer Mentorship Program. Working with 49 fellow interns and learning so many new skills has made me excited about my future in Los Angeles. The ENTITY Academy Summer Mentorship Program taught me things that I will take with me to job interviews and my career.

Here are a few things that I enjoyed while interning at ENTITY.

Relationships

Even though I was one of 50, I did not know that I was going to make some close friends. The relationships I built through this program have made me more secure in myself and motivated to stay in Los Angeles and follow my dreams. The ENTITY Academy Summer Mentorship Program made me some lifelong friends that I will cherish forever.

Speaker Series

One of the speakers who gave some helpful insight was Sarah Zapp. I enjoyed her presentation because she gave some great advice about building relationships with your connections. She was not only relatable, but she was also funny and easy to interact with. I am looking forward to using her advice to strengthen my relationship with some connections I have in my career of interest.

Networking and Interviews

Along with the speaker series, I learned a lot about how to properly network and meeting someone for the first time. During our activities, we learned how to introduce ourselves and our friends to professionals. We were told to say something personal and something professional when introducing them. When we introduce our friends in that manner, they will perceive us as caring individuals.

This entire program has been a life-changing experience. I learned so much and made some new friends that I will carry with me throughout my career. The ENTITY Academy Summer Mentorship Program is a great place to start your life after college and to make that transition into the real world. I will never forget the people I met and will continue to build on what I learned.
