Box braids have been around for centuries. Some cultures see braids as a fashion staple. They are a versatile hairstyle that is perfect for any occasion. Box braids have been at the forefront on conversations on cultural appropriation and “professional” hairstyles. Society stereotyped box braids as an inelegant and unprofessional hairstyle.
