"Boo, you whore!"
Regina George will forever be the ultimate mean girl.
And as much as we hated her for being mean to Cady, we were still rooting for her to become a better character – you know, before she got pushed in front of a bus.
In all seriousness though, “Mean Girls” taught us a lot of lessons. Regina’s story alone taught us that mean girls can be thrown off their thrones. It gave us hope for a world where high school girls didn’t feel the need to bring other girls down with cattiness and gossip. And for that, we love her.
So in honor of Regina, here are five things you may have forgotten about our favorite mean girl.
Trying to fake being sick? Regina George sees right through you.
There are two types of people in the world: people who love cheese fries and people who are lying.
Sass level: 100 percent.
Rachel McAdams is nothing like Regina.
In fact, she’s actually a pretty private person who stays true to her roots. She’s from London, a city in Ontario, Canada, and she attended York University in Toronto. She always always imagined herself as an artistic director of a children’s theater company, but she chose to act instead. She also prefers not to gossip; she’d rather talk about her favorite music and movies.
McAdams isn’t a real-life mean girl, but she did do a great job playing one.
According to Regina, nothing is “fetch” anymore.
Applicable to every situation, ever.
Translation: hideous.
Not only was Regina George the meanest girl at school, she was also the most stylish girl. We hated her personality, but we couldn’t hate on her style. She basically invented the cool-girl look.
Short skirts and bright colors were all the rage at the time, and Regina George pulled it off all too well.
When Regina walked out of the locker room with holes in her shirt, her confidence made everyone believe it was cool, too. Does anyone have any scissors?
She was rocking the off-the shoulder look before it became cool again.
She was the mom we all wanted, but also low-key glad we didn’t have. Our moms were strict for a reason and it’s actually kind of nice they don’t try getting details about our sex lives.
All in all, though, Regina George is still our favorite villain and everything about her will always be iconic.
