Entity talks hanna marin

There is only one Hanna Marin.

Outside of her impeccable fashion sense, Hanna from “Pretty Little Liars” is a unique, smart and very capable woman. And though there are many reasons to love her, ENTITY’s summed it up in five points.

1 She s Headstrong.

Hanna’s shown that she can and will do anything she puts her mind to. If she believes someone is A (or A.D.) and no one believes her enough to help her set up a trap, then she’ll do it herself with no hesitation. She won’t let anything stand in her way, not even the small voice in the back of her head telling her, “This may actually blow up in all of our faces. Try not to do this Hanna.”

Hanna also has a strong mind in general. After she was tortured and electrocuted, she quickly bounced back from all that she had gone through. In only a month or two, Hanna was able to go out into the world and move forward. She had to.

2 Hanna Says Exactly What She Means.

Hanna Marin has absolutely no filter. She says exactly what she means and means exactly what she says. And if that hurts your feelings, well … too bad. Quite frankly, her candidness is amazingly refreshing in a show where half of the series is about, well, liars.

At the end of the day, you never have to worry about what Hanna’s thinking because she’ll gladly volunteer that information. You know most of her words come from a good place unless she purposefully sharpens them to hurt you.

You know, just stay on her good side and everything will be okay – unless, of course, she’s hangry. At that point, everyone is up for grabs.

3 She s Become the Realist that the Liars Need.

This role used to be for Spencer until “A” began raising the stakes in the game. Charlotte and the dollhouse definitely changed the girls and made them a step more cynical (not that anyone blames them).

Hanna transitioned from a hesitant skeptic to a complete realist. She tells it as it is, whether or not people are avoiding the truth. Spencer, on the other hand, went from realist to pessimist and Hanna has had no problem filling Spencer’s old role in the last two seasons. Now, Hanna’s the one who thinks through all the choices they make and comes up with the likely repercussions of their decisions.

4 She is the Best Friend You Wish You Had.

One thing about Hanna that has been consistent in every season is her loyalty. She never gives up on her friends and she sticks by them no matter the situation. With Emily, she was one of the first people who made her feel comfortable about coming out as a lesbian. She cracked a few jokes about it here and there, but she knew from the beginning that love is love.

Hanna also gave Aria the pep-talk she needed in regard to Aria and Ezra’s slightly illegal brand of love. She pointed out that their age difference didn’t matter because the love was real. This held true even after Aria got older and moved away for school.

When Spencer went behind Hanna’s back and asked Caleb to keep hacking Ali’s things, Spencer broke the one thing Hanna took the most seriously: trust. However, after Spencer apologizes and explains what Hanna means to her, Hanna quickly forgives her and hugs her to comfort her about Toby and everything else shattering around Spencer’s life.

She’s done this again and again for other friends as well, such as Mona and Lucas. Hanna’s the best friend anyone could ask for because she’ll always have  your back, whether or not you’re in her main circle of friends.

5 Her One-Liners Are Amazing.

Hanna’s one liners make the world go ‘round. What would “Pretty Little Liars” be without Hanna Marin breaking the tension with her jokes? Whether she is intentionally trying to lighten the mood or she is simply speaking her mind, Hanna has a way of crunching down a complex or wild situation in one epic sentence.

Her one-liners have been understandably a bit limited in the seventh season after she was tortured, but her sarcasm has remained intact. I’m sure by the finale we’ll get a couple of more quotes to add to our  long list of amazing Hanna quotes. A couple of Hanna Marin quotes are listed below for your viewing pleasure:

  • “I can’t go around without a phone. It’s like walking around without a brain!”
  • “[It’s] half past, I’m hungry.”
  • “I think you’re the one who needs a trip to Oz. See if the wizard can find your heart.”
  • “I’m too depressed to work a zipper.”
  • “She can’t just disappear. This isn’t Hogwarts.”

These five reasons and many more represent why we stan Hanna Marin – or should I say Hanna Marin-Rivers?
