ENTITY shares Alessia Cara at the iHeartRadio Daytime Village show in Las Vegas.

Alessia Cara has released a new music video for “Seventeen” and its popularity proves that it pays to make your name while you’re young.

The video, released exclusively on VEVO, follows Cara from young girl to teen to new mother to elderly woman in three touching minutes.

The “Here” singer was propelled into the spotlight after singing covers on her YouTube channel. From there she signed with Def Jam and released her first album “Know-It-All,” which features hit singles “Wild Things” and “Scars to Your Beautiful.”

While the lyrics and video for “Seventeen” remind viewers how fast time can fly, Cara has made it clear that she is here to stay.

In an interview for Complex, she said, “I always said that if I’m going to be doing this, I don’t want to be just one song of the summer and then everyone’s like, ‘What happened to that girl?’ I never want to be that. I want to be remembered. I want to make a little dent in the music industry.”

Here are five other musicians who started young and have become some of the best-known singers in the industry.
