ENTITY reports Amal Clooney slamming Donald Trump.

Amal Clooney has taken on Donald Trump by ripping into the President-elect’s rhetoric.

George Clooney’s human rights lawyer wife used a speech to the Texas Conference for Women to say some of Trump’s outspoken comments risked America’s standing in the world.

She told her audience of 7,000 that, “[Saying] that there should be a religious test imposed on entering the U.S. or the fact that there should be state-sponsored torture or that families of suspected terrorists should all be killed — all of those things are violations of international human rights law and the values that underlie that.”

Clooney continued that America’s reputation in the world was at risk, judging by comments she is hearing from friends and contacts around the globe. “I think there’s some concern from abroad as to are these things actually going to happen, or is the U.S. going to lose some of the moral standing that it has internationally.”

But she also struck a hopeful tone over Trump’s determination to fight ISIS, a cause close to her heart due to her current work representing women who have been enslaved, raped and trafficked by ISIS.

“The president-elect has said that fighting ISIS is actually a priority … so it may be that there can be progress and obviously everyone has to respect the outcome of the democratic process here and we have to hope for the best,” she said.

Next month Amal Clooney will address the United Nations Security Council as part of her campaign to ask world leaders to do more to prosecute ISIS.

Her proud husband of two years, George Clooney, 55, has repeatedly praised his wife’s bravery, morals and conviction in her work.
