She's just as impressive as he is.

Jordan Spieth is on top of the world right now. He’s a three-time major winner and the 2015 FedEx Cup champion. Spieth also made history in the 2015 Masters Tournament when he tied the 72-hole record set by Tiger Woods and became the second youngest golfer to win the Masters.
During this momentous game, Spieth set records, won $1.8 million and also introduced his leading lady to the world. The couple managed to keep their relationship quiet until Spieth marked his victory by kissing his girlfriend, Annie Verret. The infamous lip lock was caught on camera and golf fans everywhere wanted to know who this mystery girl was.
They have since been named the “it” couple of golf. And while the PGA world knows a lot about Jordan Spieth, they know very little about his sweetheart. So, here are five facts about Annie Verret that may surprise you.
The two were high school sweethearts back in Dallas, Texas. Annie attended the all-girls college prep school, Ursuline Academy. By contrast, Spieth went to an all-boy Jesuit prep school. They began dating during their senior year of high school, but they were friends for years before then.
Distance is no match for this power couple. Even when they went their separate ways for college, the couple maintained a loving long-distance relationship. And to this day, their love seems to be going strong. Verret is almost always on the sidelines cheering on Spieth at competitions and it’s all smiles in photos of the couple at events and family functions.
Annie Spieth majored in business at Texas Tech and graduated with a 4.0 GPA. She also made the Dean’s List and she was on the President’s Honor Roll on two different occasions. At her graduation, Jordan Spieth was right by her side to celebrate her hard work.
Outside of hitting the books, Annie Spieth was involved in many other activities while she earned her degree. According to her LinkedIn profile, Verret was the Vice President of Finance for her sorority Delta Dela Delta, Phi Eta Chapter. She also trained new pledges and was an active member of the public relations team. Verret got her first taste of non-profit work when she facilitated a fundraising event for St. Jude’s Research Hospital.
Unlike her golf star boyfriend, Annie Verret’s net worth is not publically known. However, Jordan Spieth has a whopping net worth of $70 million and counting, so money is the least of this couple’s worries. At the ripe age of 24, Spieth is living comfortably with his girlfriend, to say the least.
Currently, the couple is living in their 16,655 square foot home in Dallas, Texas. For $7.1 million, the house includes a 12-car garage, gym, pool and golf simulator for Spieth to work on his swing.
They haven’t tied the knot yet, but many in the golf world are hopeful that wedding bells are in the future.
Annie Verret doesn’t chase the spotlight. In fact, she does the exact opposite.
She is typically seen supporting her love from afar with big sunglasses, away from the larger crowds. However, cameras were still able to capture some touching moments, including the solemn hugs she shared with Spieth’s family after his loss at St. Andrews and her tears of joy after he won the 2015 Masters. It seems as though Jordan Spieth’s girlfriend is by the golf star’s side for the good times and the bad.
Her Instagram, Facebook and Twitter pages are completely private. All of the adorable pictures you see before you are provided by Jordan’s Instagram. And he clearly doesn’t mind the PDA. Jordan Spieth’s mother stated, “Annie’s good for Jordan … He doesn’t need a celebrity girlfriend. He doesn’t want the attention.”
With that in mind, Annie Verret certainly seems to be the perfect fit. She also has not publicly answered questions at press conferences or appeared on interviews. The couple seems to maintain a very low-key relationship. But since that’s how they like it, we respect that.
Jordan Spieth isn’t the only one making waves in the golf world. Annie Verret is pairing her own love of golf with a mission to help underprivileged youth.
She was the event coordinator for The First Tee of Greater Dallas from 2015 to 2017. The mission of this organization is to inspire underprivileged youth through golf. During her work with The First Tee, Annie Verret was in charge of financial matters, such as managing sponsorships and grants and organizing fundraising projects. This type of career may not sound sexy to everyone. However, without her hard work, great programs that work with children in need would not be possible.
While Jordan Spieth is wowing us on the golf course, his girlfriend is making her mark in the world of philanthropy. Outside of The First Tee, Annie Verret is currently serving as the Director of Development for the non-profit The Birthday Party Project. This organization hosts monthly birthday parties for homeless youth in urban areas across the United States. The Birthday Party Project works with homeless and transitional housing agencies in the Dallas metro area as well as 11 other U.S. cities. Annie Verret does her part behind the scenes, making this valuable work possible.
