Ashley Johnson is one of the few child stars that has not had a public breakdown including drugs or crotch shots. Since her “Growing Pains” days, she’s seemed to live a quaint life.
From cartoons to finding naked tattooed ladies in Time’s Square, Johnson has still held her place in tinsel town.
If you need a refresher about what she’s done or just want to see what she’s been up to, here are five facts we found about Ashley Johnson.
“The Last of Us” is set in a post-apocalyptic setting. Characters Joel (Troy Baker) and Ellie (Ashley Johnson) are on a mission to unveil a secret that will save humanity.
At the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), Johnson revealed to the press that out of all her roles, including “The Avengers,” she probably gets most recognized for her work in the gaming community.
Destructoid reports Johnson saying, “‘The Last of Us’ has changed my life in so many ways and we shot it for over three years so … being part of something for that long and the experiences you have, the relationships you form, I wouldn’t change it for anything, it’s one of my favorite things I’ve worked on.”
Ashley Johnson, along with several other voiceover actors, regularly come together for a project named “Critical Role.” Each week, the actors live stream themselves playing “Dungeons and Dragons.”
Johnson told CBS News that she was first a little skeptical about the audience’s response on the weekly streaming show, however. “I think we all started very skeptical in a way where we knew we were having such an amazing time playing it but we just didn’t know if that was going to translate,” she said.
But as Critical Role’s fan base grew, the response was mainly positive. “More people started watching and I think we were all a little bit blown away,” she added. “It’s one of the coolest and most loyal fanbases I’ve ever been a part of.”
When asked when acting turned into a career instead of a childhood hobby, Johnson told Collider that it wasn’t until her teen years when she knew this was the path for her.
“I always loved it, even when I was younger, and it was never something that my parents pushed me into. But there’s an element, when you’re little, where you don’t really understand exactly what it is and you have a love of it just ‘cause it’s just fun to do,” she shared. “It was probably in my late teens, and also working on projects where you’re dealing with more emotional stuff that I realized, ‘Oh, wow, this is a way to express yourself.'”

She also writes her own songs, including “Downtown” and another song entitled “True Love Finds You in the End.”

In the show “Blindspot,” Johnson plays a character who tries to gather clues to uncover the identity of a naked woman found in Time’s Square named “Jane Doe.”
Ashley Johnson told MSTARS News that sometimes trying to make technical dialogue relatable can be a little intimidating.
“I mean, me personally, I’ve learned so much; it’s crazy! And that part of it has been so fun! But it is a little daunting sometimes though,” she said. “Sometimes I get some of the scripts and I m so thankful that they have trust in me to say a lot of the dialogue that I have. But most of the time, I’m just in a peer panic right when I get the scripts.”
But we definitely can’t tell.
