1 Amber Rose

Amber Rose rose to fame when she was seen on the arm of Kanye West in 2009. But since splitting up for him, she’s definitely made a name for herself as one of the biggest names against slut shaming.

Aside from her talent and causes, however, Rose is widely known for her bald, platinum do and says that she was inspired to go bald because of a certain ’90s queen.

“After I shaved it I cried for a few days, until I realized it looked dope. Sinead O’Connor was a bald-headed bad-ass, and I loved her,” she told the New York Post.

And we love you, Amber Rose.

2 Natalie Portman

Natalie Portman made a bald statement when she had her head shaved for the movie “V for Vendetta.” In an interview with USA Today, Portman said she felt a little pressure shooting the scene where she got her head shaved.

“It was a one-shot deal, and that was the most stressful thing about the experience,” said Portman.

Director James McTeigue also said that before the scene, he barely had any conversation with Portman about the drama of her getting her head shaved. According to him, “The first time I saw her about the role, I had her put her hair behind her head because I wanted to see what she looked like bald. That was the only conversation we had about it.”

Glad it all worked out.

We don’t know what you’re talking about, Dwayne. Your previous hairstyle was totally adorable, no?

4 Corey Stoll

You may know him as Ernest Hemingway with a full head of hair in “Midnight in Paris.” Or maybe you know him as the authoritative brother in the “This Where I Leave You” rom-com starring Jane Fonda.

Regardless of which movie you know him from, Corey Stroll, in real life, is definitely known for his bald head. The actor said that going bald was a liberating experience for him.

“You know, the fight was over. I never really knew what to do with my hair to begin with. When I was fat, I had incredibly long, unkempt hair. And there was kind of a poetic justice to losing something I was hiding behind,” Stroll told ELLE.

Stroll also said that the best advice that he had gotten was from his ex-girlfriend, who first told him to shave his head.

5 Halsey

Musician Halsey can be seen with wild hair. From turquoise to blonde hair, she seems to love bold looks.

However, she actually also loves the no-hair look, seeing as she’s shaved her head before. But when she shaved her head, she wasn’t aiming to just make a fashion statement.

“Hair has also been a big indicator of racial issues in my life. It’s one of the ultimate symbolic struggles for women of color. Shaving my head was important to me because I needed to be able to prove that I could still love myself if I did it,” she told Nylon Magazine.

In regards to her ethnicity, Halsey took to Twitter to express how the public has questioned her African-American heritage. She wrote on Twitter, “‘You’re not half black, you’re lying. You look 100 percent white.’ 19 years of people convinced they know more about my genetics than me.”

Well, Halsey, no matter what hairstyle you have, you look beautiful.

Regardless, Happy Be Bald and Free Day!
