ENTITY reviews five of the most beautiful American rooftop bars.

Instead of sitting at a bar inside a stuffed room, dance the night away as you enjoy the fresh, crisp midnight breeze on these American rooftop bars. Several rooftop bars around the nation allow you to enjoy spectacular views with delicious drinks. Here are five to get you started.

1 Perch (Los Angeles, California)

The Perch website describes this rooftop bar as an “elevated resting place.” The bar is 15 stories high with a French-inspired rooftop bistro that offers a 360-degree view of Downtown Los Angeles. The rooftop is adorned with antique furniture and plush couches designed to transport you to old French restaurants.

You can lounge beside any of the two fireplaces as you sip on your favorite cocktail and admire the surrounding lights. If you’re hungry from dancing, you can also indulge in a French cuisine dinner. Afterwards, you can hit the dance floor with DJs that, Perch says, “will keep you swaying throughout the evening.”

2 La Fonda s Bell Tower Bar (Santa Fe, New Mexico)

This rooftop bar recently opened for the sunset hour, allowing you to bask in the dimming sunlight as you enjoy the breathtaking view of the Jemez Mountains. According to Fodors, the bar “dishes out a light fare with a southwestern twist.”

It also offers an extensive beverage menu with signature margaritas like the Bell Ringer margarita, which is made with Tanteo Jalapeño Tequila, jalapeño juice and Patron Citronge. Visitors who conquer this drink get to ring the bell to celebrate their victory.

3 Lustre Rooftop Bar (Phoenix, Arizona)

If you’re looking for a great outdoor hangout, spend the afternoon reclining beside their outdoor pool as you enjoy the downtown Phoenix skyline. The space is designed with sleek surfaces and clean, minimalist lines to create a modern and inviting look.

Lustre’s kitchen and full bar uses locally sourced ingredients and local brews like Four Peaks Kilt Lifter and San Tan Brewery’s Mr. Pineapple. It is also complete with a variety of local music, thus bringing together, as the Lustre Rooftop Bar website writes, “everything [you] love about al fresco drinking in one illustrious setting.”

4 Drai s Beach Club at the Cromwell (Las Vegas, Nevada)

According to Travel Leisure, this beach club features a 65,000 square foot indoor and outdoor space, 150 VIP cabanas and tables, Sin City’s only rooftop pool and a musical production by “visual architect Stephen Lieberman, the man behind the massive music festival Electric Daisy Carnival.”

If you’re looking for an after-hours swim party, you can also look forward to Drai’s Yacht Club on Tuesday nights.

This bar is located in the middle of Miami Beach, thus providing what Fodors describes as, “South Beach views and ultramodern décor [that] keeps guests coming back for more.” Juvia is one of Miami’s most popular rooftops and is adorned with an “Art Deco vibe” as well as a vertical garden that was designed by internationally renowned botanist, Patrick Blanc.

According to the Juvia Miami website, the bar also offers a “trinity of French, Japanese and Peruvian cooking styles,” cooked with “only the freshest of ingredients.”
