ENTITY shares 5 things you need to know about Bonnie Wright

Do you consider yourself a “Harry Potter” fan? If so, then you probably know Bonnie Wright as Ginny Weasley from all eight movies in the “Harry Potter” franchise.

For ten years, Wright played Ginny Weasley in “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” (2001) all the way up until the last film in the franchise, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part II,” which premiered in summer of 2011.

But where has Bonnie Wright been since we last saw her on the magical, big screen in 2011? We’ve got some major catching up to do with the star.

Here are five things you need to know about Wright’s life after “Potter”:

1 Bonnie Wright has Starred in Other Movies.

Wright has had five movies come out since “Potter.” She also has two films in the works right now: “Those Who Wander and a contemporary retelling of “A Christmas Carol,” both of which are in post-production.

2 She was engaged to her “Harry Potter” co-star.

Wright fell in love with co-star Jamie Campbell Bower on the set of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part II,” in 2010. Within six months, they were engaged. But the magic wore off, and the young actors ended their engagement in June 2012.

3 She has a college degree.

After “Potter,” Bonnie Wright studied film at University of Arts London College of Communication. She graduated in 2012 with a degree in Film and Television Production Management.

4 Wright has Moved Across the Pond.

The London native has recently moved to Los Angeles, California. Interestingly enough, she claims she did not make the move for career purposes — she just wanted more space. She’s been in LA for nearly a year.

5 She has a passion for directing.

After studying film in college, Wright has thrown herself into directing. Bonnie Wright has also created her own company called BonBonLumiere. She is currently directing independent films, as well as serving as an ambassador for FilmAid, a charity that aims to help refugees through film.

Wright has put the “Harry Potter” films behind her and would rather people recognize her as a filmmaker first and Ginny Weasley second.

However, “Harry Potter” fans rejoice! In an interview with The Telegraph, she said she would not turn down playing Ginny Weasley again in a future installment of the “Harry Potter” franchise: “With all things, never say never.”
