ENTITY reports on Camilla Belle movies.

Does the name Camilla Belle ring a bell?

Other than the fact she is a huge movie star, you may also remember her from the drama that exploded after she started dating Taylor Swift’s ex-boyfriend, Joe Jonas. Swift even wrote a song about her.

But Camilla was famous way before all this drama happened.

Here are the best Camilla Belle movies that made her the superstar she is today.

1 “Annie: A Royal Adventure!” (1995)

Camilla played Molly, an orphan who stayed in the same orphanage as Annie. Molly was someone who always wanted to have a family. Annie always told her she was going to have a special family. Molly was later adopted by a British family in England.

This small yet cute part in the film marks the beginning of her movie star success.

2 “The Lost World: Jurassic Park” (1997)

Camilla portrayed the character of Cathy Bowman. In the movie, Cathy was a British girl who came from a wealthy family that was vacationing on a cruise and exploring the beach of Isla Sorna.

Although her screen time was minimal in this field, it was enough to get her noticed by Hollywood.

3 “Practical Magic” (1998)

Who can forget Camilla Belle in “Practical Magic.” Although her role was small since she plays the young Sally Owens, her scene is one of the best parts in the movie.

The young Sally Owens says, “He can flip pancakes in the air,” as she recites her ideal guy. “He’ll be marvelously kind. And his favorite shape will be a star. And he’ll have one green eye and one blue.”

Sally was a girl born into a magical family who tried to avoid witchcraft. Until something unexpected happened that required her to take a crash course in magic. The older Sally Owens was portrayed by Sandra Bullock.

4 “The Ballad of Jack and Rose” (2005)

Camilla plays Rose Salvin alongside Daniel Day-Lewis, who plays her father, Jack Salvin. Her father is an environmentalist who suffers from a heart condition. But, the family drama begins when Jack’s girlfriend and her sons move in. Something Rose isn’t too happy about.

5 “10,000 B.C.” (2008)

This movie centers around D’Leh, a man foolishly in love with a tribeswoman named Evolet, portrayed by Camilla. D’Leh goes on a rescue mission to save the lives of Evolet and their fellow tribesmen.

As interesting as this plot may sound, Camilla actually had some problems while taping the film.

During an interview, Camilla revealed she had a hard time wearing blue-colored contacts for her role as Evolet.

“There’s a lot of processing that make it the perfect color and the perfect fit.” Camilla said. “But they’re hand painted to make them look really realistic, so from the inside they were white and I had no peripheral vision. I could only see directly in front of me.”

Camilla says the crew had to help her walk around or else she’d be falling on her face.

6 “From Prada to Nada” (2011)

In this film, Camilla plays a spoiled brat named Nora. Her and her sister, Mary, have never worked a day in their lives. All was good and well until their father’s sudden death turns their whole world around.

In their journey without money, they have to learn how work, embrace their Latin heritage and learn what it means to be part of a family.

During an interview for the film, Camilla says, “I come from a multicultural background and it really sheds a positive light on the Mexican culture. I always see films that show violence and the negative aspect to these Latin countries; I loved that this film didn’t.”

7 “Open Road” (2012)

Angie, the character played by Camilla Belle, finds herself torn in a situation that can change her whole life. She is a young and independent woman who meets a drifter, a handsome cop and his sister. But Angie has to make the decision of having a life of freedom or being stuck with people who truly care for her.

With all the Camilla Belle movies she’s done throughout her career, these we’re definitely the ones that stand out to us. Do you have any other favorites? Comment below or tweet us at @entity_mag.
