ENTITY reports on christie brinkley quotes about women

Christie Brinkley is a famous swimsuit model, but, most importantly, she proves that women don’t expire. She marked her 63rd birthday by posing for a Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue alongside her daughters.

Hollywood has created this idea that women are no longer sexy past the age of 30. But, Brinkley demonstrated that women can look good in a swimsuit even past the age of 60.

Brinkley thought her days of being a swimsuit model were over when she was 30, but she surprised herself by modeling for an issue earlier this year.

She was accompanied by her daughters Alexa Ray Joel and Sailor Brinkley Cook in the issue. Together, they sent out the message that a woman’s age doesn’t decide her worth.

Brinkley posted the picture on Instagram with the caption, “thank you Sports Illustrated for sending the powerful message that good things come in packages of every size and we do not come with an expiration date.”

Her choice to model in a swimsuit again was a statement against the notion that women are no longer attractive once they get older. Because honestly, Brinkley is rocking that swimsuit.

She also told People that posing for the shoot would incite change against sexism.

“In a country that’s very ageist, people love to put you in little boxes,” Brinkley said. “Women feel very limited by their numbers. On a personal level, I thought, if I can pull this off, I think it will help redefine those numbers and remove some of the fear of aging.”

Brinkley’s photo shoot is an inspiration to all women by saying that our looks don’t go bad as we age. Ageism in Hollywood is a serious issue that continues to make women feel like they will never be good enough. But Brinkley completely shut down that idea.
