You may recognize Dakota Johnson as Anastasia from “Fifty Shades of Grey.” And because this is her most popular role, it’s probably hard to see her as any other character.

But, there are definitely more Dakota Johnson movies out there that you should watch.

We did some digging and listed our favorites below. But first, here’s some information about the stunning actress.

Dakota Johnson was born with the acting bug since her parents are well-known actors. Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith were one of Hollywood’s most recognizable stars in the ’80s. So, it’s no surprise Dakota would follow in her parents footsteps.

But before she got into acting, she started her career as a model.

Although acting has always been her primary work, in 2006 she signed with IMG Models. Dakota has modeled for MANGO’s denim line in 2009 and shot the “Rising Star” campaign for Australian fashion label Wish.

Once she graduated from high school, she signed with the William Morris Agency and went out to begin the acting career she has today.

Here are some of the films she’s been in.

5 “The Social Network” (2010)

After high school, one of the first roles Dakota Johnson landed was in David Fincher’s movie about Facebook. She played a young Stanford student and Sean Parker’s one-night-stand in “The Social Network.”

In the movie, she’s the one who tells Parker about Facebook blowing up on college campuses. This inspires him to track down Mark Zuckerberg.

Although this was a small role for Dakota, she still made the most of it.

According to Us Weekly, Johnson said, “David Fincher told me that I managed to make a thankless character pretty awesome. I thought that was really cool because I think [Fincher is] really cool.”

4 “Beastly” (2011)

A year after her role in “The Social Network,” she landed the role of Sloan in the movie “Beastly.”

This film is a teen-friendly version of “Beauty and the Beast.” Johnson worked alongside various well-known actors, includingVanessa Hudgens and Mary-Kate Olsen.

“Beastly” is a movie that shows the beauty within a person, and that’s exactly what Dakota saw in this film. In an interview she said, “It’s a beast but it’s beautiful … I was sitting there looking at Alex and I was just like oh my god. It’s breathtaking. It kind of makes you fall in love with him a little bit.”

3 “21 Jump Street” (2012)

One movie after another. Dakota Johnson was definitely keeping busy.

After “Beastly,” her next gig was in “21 Jump Street” alongside Channing Tatum and Johan Hill. Dakota’s character, Fugazy, is recruited by Captain Dickson (Ice Cube) to be a part of his high school undercover cop squad.

When working with the iconic on-screen duo, Tatum and Hill. Dakota told Celebuzz, “It was amazing they are so cool, and so talented. They made it easy to jump into a scene and make it work.”

2 “How to be Single” (2016)

Although Dakota Johnson’s role in “How to be Single” was after her role in “Fifty Shades of Grey,” it’s still one for the books.

In this romantic comedy she plays Alice, a college grad who decides she needs a break from her long-term boyfriend Josh. She moves to New York to take a job as a paralegal. Her co-worker Robin (Rebel Wilson) is a fun, wild person who enjoys one-night stands.

Robin helps Alice and teaches her how to get free drinks, meet men and enjoy the single life.

“The message of the movie is that women should love themselves and take care of their hearts and their brains but also not feel bad about going out and having a good time or experiencing and dating different people,” Johnson said to News Corp Australia. “There shouldn’t be a stigma on women sleeping with men.”

Well said, Dakota.

1 The “Fifty Shades” Trilogy

Dakota Johnson’s role in the “Fifty Shades” trilogy is really what pushed her into the limelight.

After taking a small break from the big screen, Dakota came back with a bang. In 2015, she landed a role of a lifetime, playing Anastasia ‘Ana’ Steele in “Fifty Shades of Grey.” The movie, as many fans already know, is based on E. L. James’s erotic best-selling book of the same name.

The film follows Anastasia who meets businessman Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and was intrigued. But little did she know what she was getting into when she said yes to dating him. Ana embarks on a relationship with Christian and learns that his sexual activities push the boundaries of pain and pleasure.

“This woman is a badass,” Johnson told Vogue. “She’s hyper-intelligent and hyper-sexual and very tough and very loving. And her character has so many different aspects that don’t normally make sense in one person. I tried to amplify them all.”

The second film, “Fifty Shades Darker,” was released in 2017, and the last movie of the trilogy, “Fifty Shades Freed,” is set to release in 2018.

These Dakota Johnson movies have had a large impact on where she stands today. We are happy for the recognition she’s received for each film. And after “Fifty Shades,” this surely isn’t the last we’ll see from Dakota!
