ENTITY on why you should embrace your flaws.

I am a woman, with flaws and insecurities.  I may not be as pretty as the models I see on television. I am not as confident as I wish to be.

Yes, I am flawed. I am imperfect. I have every inch of good and bad in me. I’ve been scarred. Yet, I am fully aware that I love myself more than the insults you’re firing at me.

I may be blemished, but, honey, I am more than my flaws and insecurities. I have wholly accepted myself; the good, the pretty, the ugly and the bad. And no, you can’t use them against me.

You may not see me as the perfect woman you like to think you are, but what I see within myself is the fact that I know how to deeply and sincerely accept every inch of my being.

I may have been scarred and hurt badly, but I got up, I rose and I survived. You cannot hurt me with the way you throw your nasty words. I hear you and your words, but they don’t hurt me.

I am woman, flawed, but I am also a woman who genuinely accepts every ounce of my being and every inch of myself. I am not a little girl who cries and gets hurt with every hateful thing you say.

That was me then. This is me now. I am empowered and you cannot take that away from me. While you continually try to break me, I am here, standing tall and proud, frankly telling you –Honey, my flaws do not define me. You do not define me.

Accept who you are. Be proud of yourself. Love yourself the way you want others to love you. Love yourself fully. Because you are a woman, an amazing woman — flawed, but breathtaking.
