Jordan, The Fearless Leader (ENTJ)

Extroverted, Intuition, Thinking, Judging

Overview

“Follow the Leader” might just be the Jordan’s prevailing tagline. Her natural charisma, strength, and follow-through are second to none. Jordans are the type to found companies, lead great nations or attract millions to theaters around the world, hence their name "The Fearless Leader".

Jordan’s are take-no-prisoner types of leaders who inspire through ironclad plans and unwavering confidence. It’s hard not to be drawn in by a Jordan’s magnetic persona. You’re the next Women’s March co-chair -- in fact, you’ve probably either been a chair in your sorority or class councils or are an admin of a popular Facebook meme group (hey, memes are serious business in today’s world!!).

As The Fearless Leader, Jordans are the larger in life figures who have the spotlight naturally drawn to their dignitary, queen-like stature. They are excellent decision-makers and highly independent.

Ever walk into a room and become immediately drawn to the intimidating girl with the coolest vibe and most interesting conversation? That’s her! As Outkast once said, “What’s cooler than cool? ...A Jordan!” Her manipulative and controlling tendencies can be off-putting in the style of “Mean Girls” queen bee Regina George. But, hey, Regina eventually learned how to channel her aggression in a healthier way, while still leading the pack , and so can Jordans! So, “Get In Loser, We’re Going Shopping!” It’s her effortless commands and quips that make Jordans so memorable and desirable.

Strengths

You are 12/10 killing it on the daily. You are CEO status and own it like you should. People may not take a knee, “Game of Thrones”-style anymore for their leaders, but if they could, they’d be kneeling for Jordans. You are unsullied by difficult challenges and know how to delegate tasks in clear, but firm ways. Jordans also are fearless in the face of disaster, knowing exactly how to navigate and lead their friends and family to safety in matters both big and small. If there’s a tornado careening towards Auntie Em’s Farm, you’re the first in line to make sure Dorothy & Toto stay in Kansas AND find a way to regrow all of the crops once the storm is over.

As extroverts Jordans also have the energy of a “Toddlers & Tiaras” pageant queen hyped up on Go-Go Juice. Call yourself the Energizer Bunny, or a Go-Go Dancer because you go, go, go, go, go and go. You also don’t let failure get in your way of pushing through and succeeding at any and all costs. Basically, you’re a Girl Wonder, and everyone could learn a thing or five from how you tackle every goal and problem like a Queen on her way to battle.

Common Strengths: Confident, Strategic, Charismatic, Efficient, Energetic, Will Power, A Force To Be Reckoned With

Weaknesses

For all that seems practically superhuman about Jordans, they have an Achille’s heel like everybody else. It’s pretty hard to try and knock Jordans down a peg or two because they will not budge an inch. If you’re a Jordan, you might find losing a debate impossible or losing in general. You identify so strongly with being a winner and a leader that you forget even the greatest leader is capable of failure, and in fact should face hardships. Because of this Jordans may not take defeat well and might have trouble handling their emotions in times of struggle.

Jordans can also be overbearing and dominant. Queen Bee of any room, they ruthlessly take down opponents with cutting barbs and Brutus-like retaliation (yeah, you’re known to stab Caesar in the back, and that’s a little uncalled for, Jordans!!!). Jordans need to keep in mind that a great leader also needs some compassion and room for emotion (Clearly Carly Rae Jepsen’s 2015 pop masterpiece E*M*O*T*I*O*N* was NOT on your repeat plays). Learn to harness your low-key assets, living high-key 24/7 isn’t healthy! Be patient, be considerate and learn to take another highway besides cruising the Jordan 405 forever!

Common Weaknesses: Impatient, Ruthless, Arrogant, Stubborn, Domineering, Intolerant

Romantic Relationships

When Jordans want something (or in this case someone) they tend to get it. ENTJs have an eagle eye on the prize and aren’t ever afraid to make the first move. You’re the type of girl who blows people away by how forward and assertive you are, and your prospective paramours think it’s hotter than sriracha drizzled on a ghost pepper. Your passion and dedication are met only with your creativity and zest for original and exciting experiences with your dates. Jordans have their sights set on long-term commitments. However, if a Jordan senses doubts or insufficiencies in her dates, she'll drop 'em quicker than the remake of 90210.

You are capable of a successful relationship simply because you’ll accept nothing less and wouldn’t have it any other way. Want a successful hookup? You’ve got it down. Want a long-term relationship? A Jordan somehow pulls through like a champ.

Sadly, a Jordan’s downfall is her ruthless and cold way of dropping dates or partners deemed unworthy. With the energy, romance, assertiveness, and zeal met at the start of her romantic interest, it quickly drains when she feels the relationship no longer services her long-term plans. Jordans again need to reel in that ego (which is admirable, don’t get us wrong!) and consider the feeling of her partners, even if she can’t grasp why they’re important herself. These Queen Bees should seek out other intuitive types with two opposing traits to balance her strong AF ways. Try an introverted partner who possesses the same charisma, but will provide a gentle touch to calm the invigorating, stimulating Jordan.

Friendships

Jordans are the girl everyone wants to eat lunch with at the office or invite to their party. You’re cool, exciting and a little scary! You keep friends on their toes and also know how to corral a group of like-minded, hard-working, fierce people to surround yourself with. Jordans want supergroups like The Spice Girls or Fifth Harmony, surrounded by unique badass babes who can kill it in the boardroom, the dancefloor, the happy hour or the kickball team.

It’s important for Jordans to be surrounded by smart, powerful types who can challenge them, but not too much (because a Jordan likes her opinions just the way they are, thanks!). Surprisingly, Jordans make good friends with Peacemakers who are able to have compassion and insight into what’s behind a Jordan’s HBIC demeanor and tease out the softer side of their personalities like a good hair masque. Jordans just need to be careful that they don’t tread too harshly on the toes of their loved ones because Jordans are fiercely loyal, but fiery as well. Try not to dismiss your friends’ goals, dreams or ideas just because you don’t like them. Practice mindfulness, and learn to wield your superpowers where it builds your buds up and doesn’t tear them down.

Career Path & Workplace Habits

Hey girl, are those patent leather shoes you’re wearing or are you just shining again? You have an innate ability to spotlight your strong suits and advertise them accordingly. You are never afraid to step up and take on extra tasks if it means praises, raises and advancing on the ladder towards success. Since Jordans are great at seeing the big picture they're most likely found as start-up CEOs, business admins or high-level managers of large teams. Jordans are like conductors of an orchestra and are able to maneuver dozens of talented team members to machinate a successful profit-making end result.

Look before you leap though, Jordans. Don’t let your ego grow your head five sizes. Let your employees shine and understand that sometimes people need a little encouragement and praise. Also, know that high-level status isn’t just handed to you. Despite your hatred for subordinate positions, you’ll have to work your way to success like everyone else! It’s about finding ways to tolerate the lower level jobs on your way to success that will ultimately help you since the last thing you want to do is burn bridges early in your career. Jordans will be high flying if they learn to accept and make peace with the journey. There is no doubt that the charisma, energy and sheer drive will let Jordans speed past their competition to the top with their unmatched confidence and determination.
