Entity is happy to celebrate mothers.

To the mom that does it all–the mom that was living her own, independent life, enjoying her own life, friends and family, but who brought someone else into this world to appreciate life with her. Mom, you placed my heart in the cavity of my chest, wired my brain with love and laughter, imbued in my bones a desire to find joy wherever I stepped. No matter if you were having one of the worst days of your life, you pulled yourself up out of the pain and hoisted up a smile for me to take. And now ENTITY is proud to celebrate mothers like you.

Mothers do a lot of things for their children: laundry, cooking, shopping, chauffeuring from school to work to swimming lessons to doctor appointments to home. When you give birth to a child, you’re partly giving up a desire to do what you want to do. Maybe you want to get dinner and see a movie with your friends, but that means hiring a babysitter, getting dressed up, setting aside money for pizza, worrying in the quieter moments of your evening if your baby is alright. Your mind performs in a different way than before, able to differentiate between the screams for a diaper change and those of a hungry baby.

But you do all of this with love and care. You do it all with a full heart, and you would do even more if I needed it. Being a mom is not an easy task, but the difficulty of the job didn’t matter to you. You approached every challenge with strength no matter how weak you felt, poured love into me no matter how much you needed it yourself. There isn’t a “thank you” in the world that could acknowledge every second of sacrifice that you’ve lived, every thought and action that looked out for my well-being. You guided me through my darkest hours and my brightest days, you were always there for me.

I’ve gone through 19 Mother’s Days, 19 of your birthdays, yet every time I sit down to write a card to express all the love I have for you I’m continually at a loss. How do you thank the person who gave you life, who brought you into existence and looked after you through all of it? There isn’t a card that I could buy, nor one that I could sign, that could possibly express how grateful I am for everything you’ve done. Even this doesn’t even come close to covering all that you’ve given me.

So, to the mom that does it all, I don’t think I will ever be able to give you what you’ve given me. Love like yours is truly a once-in-a-lifetime kind of love, the type of love that only a mother can give. All I can do is love you back. I will love you my whole life, and if I’m given lifetimes after that my love for you will continue to carry on. To the mom that does it all, thank you. I love you.
