It's not a real friendship unless you've been likened to an octopus.
They say friends are forever, but only the best of friends get through life’s toughest trials with a sense of humor.
Whether you’re in jail or crazy under the influence, best friends always seem to lighten the situation.
ENTITY gathered ten short, funny quotes about these types of friendships. Warning: they’re all hilariously accurate.

Universal Channel UK documented an experiment testing whether or not friends would actually cover up their friend’s murder. All the friends involved in the experiment hid the bloody shirt involved in the “murder” and also lied to the people pretending to be the police of their friend’s whereabouts.

Sociologist Dr. Debra Umberson shared with TIME that friends don’t only fight for you, they fight off diseases, too.
“Whether you’re laughing with your pal or feeling him or her touch your shoulder in sympathy, the resulting rush of endorphins seems to ‘tune’ up your immune system, protecting you from disease,” said Umberson. They’re pretty much ready to fight anything for you, even if they’re being silly about it.

According to the BBC, Berkeley psychologist Professor Bob Levenson said that the more you laugh in your relationships, the longer the romantic relationship or friendship will be.
“The couples that used laughter and smiling not only felt better immediately but also reported higher levels of satisfaction in their relationship, and stayed together for longer,” he said.
Perhaps reading this with your best bud will help solidify your friendship.
