Twitter’s latest update, basically making @-replies the dreaded group messaging of the social networking site, has been unanimously mocked by users.
Turns out no one asked for a fix that makes it even easier for trolls and mansplainers to reach a large audience. But what if for once the app actually looked to users for improvement suggestions?
If only. For now, ENTITY can’t help but laugh at these hilarious update ideas that would definitely make the app a lot more fun.
You know that thing where you’re actually in a good mood for once, but then you make the mistake of logging onto Twitter and your day is ruined by a ridiculous Trump tweet or new executive order?
Not with a Twitter Trending topics “depressing” label. The bright red trigger warning could save your whole day.
Everyone knows that one person who ALWAYS needs to be heard during controversial current events. Like, no, white Uncle Jared who’s never held a job for more than three months, you don’t need to be the voice of the blue lives matter movement because cops are “just doing their jobs.”
This handy new pop-up would try to deter entitled white men the world over by asking, “Are you sure your point of view needs to be heard right now?” We didn’t think so.
We can pretty much all agree that nobody wins in an internet argument. But a mandatory “cool down” period could stop you from embarrassing yourself in the heat of the moment, and you know, ruining your chances at a future career because you look like such a horrible person.
The 24-hour period – brought on if you appeared to be tweeting while angry – would allow you to calm down and reconsider.
