But how, exactly, did she get to this amount at just 25 years old? Here’s what we found out.
Selena Gomez is a multi-million dollar recording artist raking up a lot of money.
She has sold over 24.3 million songs and 3.4 million albums. According to Billboard, some of her top hit songs have been “Love You Like a Love Song” and “Come & Get It.” Also, her album “Revival” was the first album in her career to become platinum. It sold more than $1 million copies, adding a whole lot of dough to her bank account.
According to MoneyNation, she made over $16 million in music sales by 2016. This doesn’t include how much she earned when she was touring, which adds up to a couple more million dollars.
And Gomez didn’t stop there. She recently released two singles, “Bad Liar” and “Fetish,” which are already making huge sales. Now all we can do is wait her next album to see how much Selena Gomez’s worth increases.
With 126 million followers, Selena Gomez is the most followed celebrity on Instagram. Thus, it’s not surprising that she’s sometimes referred to as the queen of Instagram.
And she’s taking full advantage of this. According to D’Marie Analytics, Selena Gomez brings in about $550,000 for posting across Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
Frank Spadafora, CEO of D’Marie Group, told AdWeek, “This valuation is based on D’Marie’s algorithm which measures 56 metrics including followers, post frequency, engagement, quality of post, click-thru and potential to create sales conversions from her social content.”
Well, Selena Gomez definitely covers all of those bases. It’s no wonder she’s making so much money off social media.
When it comes to how much is Selena Gomez worth, we have to take a look back at how she started in the entertainment word. Selena Gomez’s breakthrough role was on the Disney series “Wizards of Waverly Place.” She was the main character on the show and quickly became a fan favorite around the world.
The show ran from 2007 to 2012 and aired 106 episodes. Selena Gomez was paid $30,000 per episode, adding up to a little over $3 million for the whole series.
After Selena’s success on Disney Channel, she wanted to transition outside of it. After “Wizards of Waverly Place,” she landed a role in the movie “Monte Carlo,” where she earned $2.5 million.
This didn’t seem like enough, however.
So, she took on a mature role in the movie “Spring Breakers.” Let’s just say her role in this movie really took the label of “Disney child star” off her back while earning a couple million dollars along the way.
Selena signed a $10 million deal with Coach in 2016. Under this deal, she became the next spokesperson for the brand. Ahe also teamed up with them to create her own line of bags. Each bag costs around $400, which means more money going into the singers bank account.
Her endorsement with Coach isn’t Selena’s first rodeo in fashion design though. She previously partnered up with Kmart in 2012 to create her own fashion line.
Other endorsements include Coca-Cola, Pantene and Louis Vuitton, all of which have helped with Selena Gomez’s net worth.
Selena Gomez has one project after another. This 25-year-old is keeping herself busy and making money at the same time. Gomez launched her production company July Moon Production in 2008 when she was only 16 years old.
Her most recent project was the Netflix original series “13 Reasons Why,” where she served as the executive producer.
