ENTITY reports on Sarah Tripp's body positivity.

Many of us struggle with at least one aspect of our bodies, making it hard to accept our bodies the way they are. Sarah Tripp, however, is showing women that obtaining body positivity is easier than we may believe.

Tripp is a fashion blogger who has utilized her blog, Sassy Red Lipstick, as a podium to spread body positivity. She started the blog in 2013 because she wanted to turn her love of fashion into a career. She has taken to spreading body positivity and created a career that helps women and herself.

Tripp exudes a confidence that most of us wish that we had. However, she shares that she had to work on accepting her own body.

“I was 21 years old and had stretch marks from so many weight gains and losses. I knew I had the body type that put on weight very quickly and very easily… I was never in love with my body at this point, I was always just okay with it,” Tripp shared in her blog post about honoring her curves.

Looking at her now, you would never know that Tripp shared the same doubts as most of us when it comes to our body image. However, she wants her followers to know that it is about learning to accept your body the way it is.

Learning to appreciate our bodies is the first step to being body positive. Instead of comparing your body to others, love your body the way it is and flaunt it.

Have Confidence

Easier said than done, right? There are many factors that can prevent us from building confidence.

However, Tripp stresses the importance of confidence as a needed factor for body positivity. If you are confident in your skin, then nothing can stop you.

“I want all my readers to know that body confidence is the sexiest attribute a woman can have. I’m a firm believer that once you learn to love your body, it’ll love you right back,” Tripp shared on her website.

Having confidence can also change your outlook. When you are confident about your body, you feel unstoppable.

“When you feel good about an outfit, you’ll look good. Plain and simple,” Tripp told Stitch Fix. “What actually makes us feel good is different for every woman, and that’s the best part. It’s all about how you rock it.

Although it may take time to build confidence, it is definitely doable.

Get Support

Tripp openly shares how her husband, Robbie Tripp, supports her for who she is and loves all of her.

Her husband received backlash when his post about loving his wife and her curves went viral, according to The Sacramento Bee. In response to the post, many stated that Tripp’s husband was objectifying her and expected praise for being attracted to his wife.

However, Tripp saw the positive in her husband’s declaration.

“It’s been so funny to me to see some of the comments on the post from women saying they would be mortified if their husband posted that they had ‘thick thighs’ or stretch marks or a ‘big booty,’ but I’m proud of those features! They’re not bad or wrong or ugly, they are beautiful. ‘Beautiful’ isn’t synonymous with thin,” Tripp told Women’s Health.

Tripp utilized her husband’s declaration as a way to stress the importance of having a support system. She admits that she did not establish appreciation for her own body until she had her husband’s support.

“To be 100% honest, Robbie was the reason I finally snapped out of the yo-yo weight gains and losses,” Tripp wrote. “He always, always loved me for exactly who I was and whatever size I wore.”

When you have someone in your corner who loves you for you, it makes it easier to build that appreciation for your body.

Sarah Tripp uses her blog as a way to be transparent with her followers. She not only shares fashion tips for curvy women, she also shares her own journey to help other women find that same love for their curves. Body positivity is attainable if you love your body, build your confidence and find a support system.
