Get ready for an emotional rollercoaster: Kinsey French not only married her soulmate this summer, she also brought her special-education students along for the memorable day.

French, a special-ed teacher in Kentucky, invited her Down-Syndrome students to participate in her wedding ceremony. As flower girls, the girls were adorned in delicate alyssum crowns; the ring bearer boys dressed spiffy in black suspenders and bow-ties. The elegant bridal party walked down the aisle with style, leaving behind no dry eyes in the church pews.

In addition to the June ceremony, Kinsey’s fiancé Josh also proposed to her in front of the class. For Kinsey and her husband, there was never a moment of doubt in their minds about including the kids in the experience, according to the Huffington Post video above.

“They were like family to me,” French told WLKY. “They were my first class and they’ve been my only class and so I knew I couldn’t have a special day without them.”
