Because Kristen Connolly and Jamie Campbell deserve the love.

It seems with Mitch out for the count (for now) the rest of the team will have larger roles. Jackson will now be a superhero (of some sort). Abraham acts as a fertility specialist, while his wife raises one of the last children the world will ever know. And finally, Jamie becomes a bestselling book author with some mysterious, scientific side hobby.
Whatever Jamie has up her sleeve, Kristen will be ready to slay the role. Jamie isn’t the only one who has gone through a big change in her life. Kristen can relate. Here is what we know about Kristen’s life lately and how it will relate to her role.
Jamie has found her niche writing books. We always knew she had a knack for writing before, but writing articles under an oppressive editor was not Jamie’s calling. Now that she’s a bestselling author, her life has changed monumentally. One notable difference is her appearance.
Kristen Connolly’s instagram hints at Jamie’s new makeover. As seen in the set photos from “Zoo” season three episode one, Jamie not only changed her occupation, but she also has a new hair cut and style.
The bookish, reporter Jamie is gone (not that she still wasn’t gorgeous), and new millionaire, celebrity Jamie is here. Her money and fame have definitely affected her. Whether it’s for the good or the bad, we’ll have to wait and find out.
You know who else has had a big shift in their life? The actress who plays Jamie, Kristen Connolly. Apparently, she just recently got married to Cody Riffle. For a second we thought that Google was glitching when it said that Connolly’s spouse was Cody Riffle. We knew they were a long-time couple, but we didn’t hear or see anything about a marriage.
This is because the Kristen Connolly wedding was a secret. We feel you, Kristen. It’s not like we would want a thousand strangers with cameras crashing our wedding, either. It was a small, intimate ceremony with their loved ones and friends. This union ranks high on the “aw” factor. We always loved that couple together.
This big development in her life should translate perfectly to her role. Kristen has found her soulmate in the way that Jamie will find hers, too. We found out at the end of the last season that Mitch is still alive. So you can bet that Jamie will be the first one on the boat to rescue her love.
Jamie is not only a celebrity author but she also has a secret hobby. The audience hasn’t heard much about this side profession, but apparently it’ll remain a secret for a while. The whole cast deals with secrets this season, as they’ve all gone and lived their separate lives. Although they’ll always be bonded, 10 years and the circumstances they were under can do a lot to change people.
In the picture Kristen posted on Instagram, it looks as if Jamie is still doing undercover spy work. So maybe whatever she’s investigating is her secret. You can take the girl out of journalism, but you can’t take the journalism out of the girl.
Kristen has absolutely slayed the role of Jamie ever since “Zoo” season one episode one. We expected no less from the actress who has wowed all in her role of Christina Gallagher, a congressional staffer from Netflix’s “House of Cards.” She also stunned everyone in her crazily accurate portrayal of Dana in “The Cabin in the Woods.”
It shouldn’t be a surprise that she comes from a family of actors in a town, Montclaire, that thrives in entertainment. She earned her first break into the industry when her mother put her on the spot after a location movie scout rang their doorbell. What could’ve been an awkward moment, turned into the start of a promising career.
You can tell she was born to act, because she had a quick climb to fame through 15 different pieces since that day. This is why Kristen Connolly movies and TV shows never disappoint. Following right on her heels was her brother, Will Connolly, who also found his place in the industry as an actor and playwright.
I’m praying the part of Jamie that was head over heels in love with Mitch is still with us. It seems that Logan, or Edward we should say, still has a place in her life. And it’s not like we can fault her for moving on after 10 years. But… but… Jamie and Mitch were meant to be together.
So we hope Jamie not only plans to immediately get on the boat to find Mitch, but that they both can get back to where they were before his “death.” Both are travelers interested in the biggest new mystery, so it’s not like their professions wouldn’t mesh perfectly. Quite similarly to the way they mesh as people.
Who’s excited for the finale today?! It’s going to drop us right in on the action and we couldn’t be any more ready to start a new adventure with our favorite Scooby gang.
