Entity reports that Kardashian lawyers fight Black Chyna's big to trademark her married name.Blac Chyna

Rob Kardashian’s fiancee Blac Chyna hopes to use her future married name for marketing purposes but his sisters are not happy about that idea.

Blac Chyna has filed an application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on behalf of her company, Lashed LLC, seeking to trademark her married name, Angela Renée Kardashian.

But attorneys for Kim, Khloé, and Kourtney Kardashian have  responded with paperwork to formally oppose her registration. Khloemoney, Inc., 2Die4Kourt, and Kimsaprincess, Inc. were included in the counter filing.

Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney’s names are all trademarked, which is not surprising seeing as they have all launched a number of businesses underneath the Kardashian brand, including a denim line, a children’s clothing line, and mobile apps.

Documents from the attorneys, obtained by E! News, report that the companies will “suffer damage, including irreparable injury to their reputation and goodwill” if Chyna’s request is granted.

However, a source for the family told E!this is not personal against Chyna but that “their trademark lawyers automatically oppose anyone trying to trademark Kardashian.”

The women of “The View” discussed the controversy on Wednesday’s episode, siding mostly with the Kardashian sisters. Whoopi Goldberg reasoned, “If there’s a divorce there and she’s angry she can take that name and use it to do all kinds of stuff.”

Co-host Sunny Hostin believed Kim, Khloé, and Kourtney may have a case, as the purpose of a trademark is to “prevent confusion in the marketplace.” Chyna suddenly using the Kardashian name for her companies could affect what has already been established by the trio with their brand. Joy Behar agreed, but instead of banning Chyna from using the name in general, suggested a prenup prohibiting her from continuing to use it should they get divorced.

Chyna and Rob had shocked their family and fans alike in May as they announced that they were expecting their first child together, less than a month after revealing their plans to get married. Their relationship was subsequently documented on E! series “Rob & Chyna.”
