Kate Middleton QT on Entity

Kate Middleton, her husband, William and her brother in-law Harry recently launched the Heads Together campaign. Their cause brings light to the stigma surrounding mental illness. The royals released a video of Harry opening up about his emotional trauma after losing his mother. Kate responds to Harry with admiration for speaking his truth. They hope the video will encourage others to express their own feelings.

While on tour, Kate acknowledged that being a mother comes first and foremost. During a speech, she also addressed some unexpected challenges faced with the job. As a result, she encourages other mom’s to tell their truths about the many emotions that comes with motherhood. Ironically, their efforts to talk about their feelings have received backlash on social media. People on Twitter and Facebook have accused the royals of “feeling sorry for themselves.”

ENTITY believes that we must speak up, no matter who we are or what our background is. We all have a right to use our voices. An open dialogue and communication allows people to live out their best selves. Mental illness can spiral out of control if it’s not addressed early enough. It can also effect anyone at anytime. This is why it’s so important to acknowledge in our daily lives. Therefore, we should speak up about our challenges and realize this is nothing to be ashamed of. We become a more evolved species the more we practice listening, understanding and compassion. So let’s learn by example and be aware.
