You may know Kelly Ripa as the host of “Live! With Kelly and Ryan.” But there’s a lot more to her than her on-screen personality.

And if you’re wondering what, exactly, that is, we’ve got you covered.

Here are five things about Kelly Ripa’s personal and professional life you should know about.

1 She’s an Emmy Winning Talk Show Host.

Kelly Ripa has been in the talk show business for quite some time. And let’s just say, she’s doing a pretty darn good job at it.

She started as a talk show host in February 2001, when she replaced Kathie Lee Gifford and joined co-host Regis Philbin for ABC’s “Live! With Regis and Kelly.” But when Regis announced his retirement in 2011 from Live!, Ripa underwent some major changes in her career. The show was then called “Live! With Kelly” and she regularly had special co-hosts come in to do the show with her.

Her show became “the second-most-watched daytime talk show on television,” according to The Washington Post. And by June 2012, Michael Strahan was chosen to pair up with Ripa. The duo had tons of chemistry on the show and audiences loved them. And thanks to Strahan’s recurring role, the show became known as “Live! With Kelly and Michael.”

Strahan has since left, however, leaving an empty seat next to Ripa yet again. Ryan Seacrest has stepped in as his replacement and the show is now called “Live! With Kelly and Ryan.”

And even through all these changes, Kelly and her co-hosts managed to become Emmy winners. When co-hosting “Live! With Regis & Kelly,” the duo won two Daytime Emmy Awards for “Outstanding Talk Show Host.” And then her work with Michael Strahan was also recognized with an Emmy Award in 2015 and 2016.

2 Kelly Ripa started her career as an actress.

Kelly Ripa’s been on screen for years, but it wasn’t always as a television personality. She started as an actress and her big break came when she landed the role of Hayley Santos on the ABC daytime soap opera “All My Children” at age 20.

Aside from her recurring role there, Kelly was also part of some great movies, including “Marvin’s Room” (1996), “The Stand-In” (1999), “Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman” (2003) and “Cheaper by the Dozen” (2003).

We can thank Kelly’s sixth grade theatre director, Jim Beckley, for her presence in our lives.

Kelly Ripa told The Star in 2012, “I was not a good singer and our school only did musicals then, so I wasn’t even going to try out until Jim asked me to. He thought I was a natural performer and so he gave me a lead in the next show.” She became a star with a little push from the people around her.

3 What is Kelly Ripa’s age?

She was born on October 2, 1970 in Stratford, New Jersey, making her 46 years old. And can we just say, Kelly looks amazing still.

So how does the 46-year-old look like she hasn’t aged since she started her career in the entertainment business? Well, let’s just say botox was her answer. “It’s the Botox,” Kelly Ripa told ELLE. She admits sometimes she gets it in her armpits to avoid sweating.

Ripa isn’t afraid to admit she occasionally gets the injection. “Every seven months or so my eyelid skin rests on my eyelashes. So I feel like it makes my makeup artist’s life easier, and it makes my eyes look a little more open on TV, which is where I happen to work right now,” she explained.

Here’s to you, Kelly! As long as you feel happy and confident, that’s all that matters to us.

4 She’s been off the dating market for a while.

Kelly Ripa met her husband Mark Consuelos in 1995 on the set of “All My Children.” Consuelos was auditioning for a role on the show when he first met the bubbly blonde.

“I thought she was adorable, hot and sexy and all that stuff. But I was very focused — I didn’t really think I had a chance with her, so I wasn’t really focused on that. We became friends really quickly after that,” Mark told HuffPost Live in 2014.

About a year after meeting, Ripa and Consuelos tied the knot in Las Vegas on May 1, 1996. They’ve been happily married for 21 years, and Kelly is still head-over-heels for her husband.

In an interview with Good Housekeeping Ripa said, “I think about my husband in the middle of the day because I love him and I can’t wait to see him. He is my best friend. Nobody knows me the way he knows me. We’ve seen each other in an ‘Avatar’ ‘I see you’ way.”

Isn’t that the most romantic thing you’ve heard all day?

5 Kelly Ripa is a mother of three.

Ripa and Consuelos have three beautiful babies: Michael, 20,  Lola, 16, and Joaquin, 14. Well, okay, they’re not really babies anymore.

With three children, work and marriage, Kelly does have a lot on her plate. “When I’m at work, I’m remembering what I forgot to do for the kids, and when I’m with the kids, I’m remembering what I forgot to do at work,” Ripa told Good Housekeeping.

But it’s okay, because there’s no perfect way to be a working mama! Whatever Kelly is doing to handle everything in her life, she seems to be doing well for herself. So keep doing what you’re doing, girl!
