ENTITY reports on Khloe Kardashian waist trainer.

Workout trends come and go. One that seems to be sticking around is the waist trainer craze. Tons of female celebs from Ciara to Nicki Minaj have been seen rocking a waist trainer.

The Kardashian clan have been on top of the waist trainer trend since the get-go. All of them use waist trainers, but one of the biggest proponents of the new workout gear is Miss Khloe Kardashian.

Recently, Khloe lost a bunch of weight and although diet and exercise were key in this change, Khloe also used her waist trainer religiously.

Is it dangerous?

No, they are not necessarily dangerous when used in the proper way. However, there are risks and benefits when using any workout product, and this is true for waist trainers. When worn loosely, not squeezing the abdomen, but rather just tucking it in, they can have a good effect, reports LIVESTRONG. However, they need to be used with a healthy diet and exercise, not in lieu of these.

However, when worn improperly they can have damaging effects. “Squishing your abdominal organs — such as your liver, kidneys and intestines — can decrease their blood flow and function. Your organs are also pushed upward, reducing lung capacity while making breathing more difficult and certainly unsafe for exercise,” Dr. Thomas tells LIVESTRONG.

Ultimately he says it’s dangerous when they are worn improperly, so make sure you know the correct way to wear your waist trainer if you plan on purchasing one.

Does it actually work?

One of the biggest questions that we have about the waist trainer is do they actually work? Many people have tried them out since the Kardashians brought them to the limelight. However, there is no real evidence that the waist trainer will make a drastic difference in giving you that hourglass figure.

“There is no scientific evidence whatsoever that these devices work,” Jennifer Wider, a women’s health expert told Self. In fact, there may even be some evidence that the waist trainers work against your body.

“Women who use them have reported difficulty breathing, increased heartburn and indigestion. If worn all the time, there are risks of organ compression,” Wider also told Self.

Which brands do the Kardashians use?

Since the Kardashians are basically marketing geniuses, they only use certain brands of waist trainers. Kim’s favorite waist trainer is made by Ann Chery. These waist trainers range from about $55-75 dollars and come in a number of different colors.

Khloe is a fan of two popular waist trainers — the Premadonna waist trainer and the Angel Curves waist trainer. Both can be seen on Khloe’s Instagram quite consistently with rave reviews from the star. But buyer beware, she hashtags her waist trainer posts with #Ad. In other words, she’s paid to say they work.

Ultimately, we can’t deny that Khloe is looking gooood after her recent weight loss. However, we don’t believe this is just because of her waist trainer. The star worked out extensively and ate a healthy diet as well.

If you’re interested in buying a waist trainer, make sure you know how to properly wear and use it so you do not harm yourself.
