ENTITY's CEO Jennifer Schwab shares why the enemy of the women's movement is us.

LOS ANGELES – On the heels of the hugely successful Women’s March last weekend, as well as Friday’s successful March for Life in Washington, we all need to take a step back to understand that if we don’t declare “kumbaya” and support each other, the divisiveness among our ranks will weaken us overall.

I attended the Women’s March last Saturday in Downtown L.A. and was deeply moved by such a strong showing of emotion, power and strength by a very diverse group of mostly younger women from all walks of life.  But I must ask, where were you on election day?  I know in my heart that probably half the crowd didn’t make it to the polls … at least that was the result of my admittedly unscientific survey.  If that wasn’t enough, the organizers of the Women’s March made it clear that pro-life women were not welcome.  Therein lies the error of our ways.

This past Friday, the annual Pro Life March in Washington, D.C. attracted an equally enthusiastic throng including the likes of Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway and Vice President Pence.  As highlighted in our exclusive interview with New Wave Feminists founder Destiny Herndon-De La Rosa, I think this division among women is unhealthy.

ENTITY is decidedly NOT a feminist, liberal, pro-choice, left wing, Democratic site.  Nor are we right wing, Republican, pro-life, conservative in outlook.  We are dedicated to being politically agnostic.  We ARE, however, pro-women who want to maximize their capabilities, practice self-improvement and further their careers.  We are dedicated to helping women flourish in their endeavors no matter what the political persuasion.  While admittedly, my personal politics may be more allied with the left of center viewpoint, I pledge to you this will not permeate our editorial mission.

At ENTITY, there is room for all political positions and viewpoints.  There is room for any woman who wants to better herself in this world.  So as much as it kills me to say, Donald Trump has been anointed king so … well, here goes … Long Live The King.  If you are a rising executive at your company and you don’t care for the new CEO, we will try to help you navigate those waters.  We will not suggest you quit in protest.  That is not the real world.  We have to at this point accept the reality of who is in charge and how this will affect our world.  ENTITY is here to help you maximize your situation, both personally and professionally.  This is my passion and why we do what we do.

As the 2017 Women’s March on Washington proved, when women come together, powerful things can happen. History is made, voices are heard and the importance of unity shines through. However, as positive as the goal to stand united may be, it’s not exactly perfect at the moment. Let us dedicate ourselves to supporting all women no matter what their personal political viewpoints may be!
