“Little Big Shots” season two premiered with the big guns.

And if you watched it, you’ll know exactly who we’re talking about: Carla Wallenda, the fearless tightrope walker turned sway pole aerialist.

Her Passion

After her aunt died, she used her grief to push her to do what she’s always wanted – climb an 85-foot pole and look good while doing it. Wallenda is 81 years old – yes you heard that right. She’s an 81-year-old woman who isn’t afraid to be 85 feet above the ground.

Basically, she’s a dedicated circus performer that could give Houdini a run for his money. Right now, she’s not even thinking about retirement; she’s just focusing about doing what she loves everyday. Talk about having passion for your job.

Her Act

She begins by climbing a ridiculously long pole that begins swaying as she gets higher and higher. Apparently, it’s supposed to get flexible around the halfway mark in order to add to the tension.

After the halfway mark, everyone starts getting nervous because they’re all afraid for her. But as you continue to watch her act, you’ll realize that the fear is misplaced. She makes it all the way to the top of the pole and proceeds to do tricks! First up? The one-handed hang. Then, she switches hands and strike a pose.

The biggest moment in the act, however, is when she did a headstand on top of that thin 85-foot pole. Just imagine how much muscle and balance it takes to do these tricks.

Years of practice have made her more than an expert – she’s the sway pole wonder woman. Nothing can stop her from completing her act.

All in all, she was a marvel to watch, and a testament to the fact that age can’t possibly determine how much you slay. Go ahead with your bad self, Wallenda!
