She is a not your typical material girl.
She has mystifying eyes, unique eyebrows and a strong resemblance to her mother.
There is nothing short of interesting about 20-year-old Lourdes Leon. She is the daughter of the Madonna and she’s making a name for herself in the fashion world as a designer and model.
If you don’t know about her yet, here are five reasons you should pay attention to Lourdes Leon.
While on vacation with her friends in Miami, Lourdes Leon was spotted wearing a black bikini, with medium-length tresses and – wait for it – armpit hair. Madonna’s daughter sported long armpit hair but gained negative backlash for doing so. People who saw the photo labeled it “disgusting.”
She didn’t verbally comment on this issue, but we love her for embracing her natural hair.
Just like mom, Leon knows how to vogue.
In 2016, she debuted her modeling career for designer Stella McCartney. The campaign promoted self-acceptance and positive vibes when it came to social media. Leon told Vogue that she is no exception when it comes to criticism.
“I go through this struggle myself, [where] women’s bodies have been made so public that everyone feels like they need to comment. I love when someone doesn’t pretend to be someone they are not,” she said.
Likewise, Lourdes.
In 2013, you could find Leon holding hands and going to events with then-boyfriend, Timothee Chalamet. Chalamet is best known for his role in “Homeland” as Finn Walden.
The two met the way every average teenage couple meets: in high school. Chalamet and Leon met at La Guardia High School of Performing Arts in New York. The couple was so smitten that they even went as far as making out in front of her mom, Madonna. Wow, that’s a little awkward.
Leon and Chalamet split a year later in 2014, though. Apparently, Chalamet was caught locking lips with a girl who graduated from La Guardia High as well. In that case, that’s right, Lourdes. Kick him to the curb.
Lourdes is currently not dating anybody at the moment … that we know of.
While some writers are fifty and still trying to get their books published, Lourdes Leon was seven when she co-wrote her children’s book with her mother, Madonna.
The book titled “The English Roses” is a story about four girls who end up becoming jealous of another girl, Binah. They believe her life is perfect and are jealous of her because of it. But it turns out, Binah is actually lonely.
Not many know about Leon’s biological father. It turns out that he is a Cuban actor and also a fitness trainer. He is also married to designer Betina Holte and soon after they said “I do,” they gave Lourdes a little brother name Meeka Leon.
As of now, Lourdes Leon is sporting some pastel locks and landing gigs with big-time designers. But we definitely can’t wait to see what the future hold for Lourdes Leon.
