Entity reports on the nevertheless, she persisted T-shirts that have raised over 250K for Planned Parenthood.

“Nevertheless, she persisted” is the latest feminist slogan and rallying cry.

So Brooklyn designer Matt Rudinski decided to channel those powerful words into a T-shirt, in the hopes of raising a little money for Planned Parenthood.

Well, just one week after the release those T-shirts have already raised over $250K for Planned Parenthood. Talk about #grabyourwallet.

This all started after Majority Leader Mitch McConnell silenced Senator Elizabeth Warren during Jeff Sessions’ confirmation hearing.

She had been trying to read a 1986 letter from Coretta Scott King. Sessions has since been confirmed as Attorney General.

At the time, McConnell defended his actions by saying, “She was warned. She was given an explanation. Nevertheless, she persisted.”

“Nevertheless, she persisted” quickly trended on Twitter thereafter, and it gave Rudinski an idea. He wrote that the phrase “sounds like a pretty good slogan to me. So thanks, Mitch.”

Rudinski then took to social media to share a mock-up of his design for T-shirts, from which he planned to donate 100 percent of the profits to Planned Parenthood.

“I posted [the T-shirt] on Facebook that night and left it alone, thinking only a few people would buy it. When I woke up, $1,500 had been raised without any advertising push,” he told People.

Rudinski believes people took so well to the T-shirt because it allowed them to express how angry they were over McConnell’s actions. “It’s basically wearing a protest sign,” he said.

And choosing Planned Parenthood for the proceeds was a no-brainer for Rudinski, since Republicans have been so gung-ho about defunding it.

“Planned Parenthood is an organization I deeply believe in and want to help,” Rudinski added. And with executive orders like the global gag rule, the organization will surely take all the help it can get.

For now, Planned Parenthood is at least $254,772 richer thanks to Rudinski.
