When Nicki Minaj isn’t having sleepovers with Nas, she’s hustling hard for that cash money. Nicki Minaj’s net worth is reported to be an “Anaconda” amount of $75 million dollars.
The Caribbean born artist, whose birth name is Onika Tanya Mara, started her career by being a backup singer for various rappers in New York. But she became a backup singer no more when was signed by Lil’ Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment.
Since then, Minaj has used her music, her social media presence and her fragrances to build an empire. Here’s how the beautiful “Super Bass” star accumulated her net worth.
And apparently it’s bringing home some serious bacon.
Billboard reported Minaj to have made $13 million dollars just in North America from her world tour in 2015. The tour promoted Minaj’s album “The Pinkprint.” And when she was set to perform in her hometown Brooklyn, it sold out immediately, selling $1.3 million worth of tickets.
In 2012, Nicki Minaj was named the new face of Pepsi. And Pepsi has been known to spend quite the amount on celebrity endorsements. Madonna vogued away with $5 million dollars in cold hard cash from Pepsi in 1989. The controversial ad was pulled, though, because religious groups threatened a boycott.
Nicki’s feeling herself, feeling herself, but she also wants you to feel her, too. Style wise, that is.
Nicki Minaj teamed up with nail polish company OPI in 2011 to give you some rad looking nails. The collection featured bright purples, bright greens and, of course, an over-the-top glitter polish.
They also have very Nicki Minaj-like names, such as “Metal 4 Life,” “Fly” and “Did It On ‘Em.”
And if you wanted to get the same luscious lip color as Minaj to match your nails, you could.
In 2013, she united with MAC for their Viva Glam campaign. Nicki Minaj’s first crack at makeup seemed to be the most successful. Her lipstick became the highest-selling of the brand, which is great because the Viva Glam campaign raises money for men, women and children living with AIDS.

Nicki’s first fragrance, “Pink Friday,” hit the stores in 2012. And her most recent release is the new fragrance, “Trini Girl.”
She rapped her way into America’s heart and because she did, it earned her an $8 million dollar deal with American Idol. In 2013, Minaj joined the likes of Mariah Carey, Randy Jackson and Keith Urban to crown the next American Idol.
Minaj left American Idol and said the experience was one to remember. “Thank you American Idol for a life changing experience!” she wrote on her Twitter in 2013. “Wouldn’t trade it for the world! Time to focus on the music!!!”
Haters gon’ hate. Even though Minaj’s ex, Meek Mill, came out with a song trashing Minaj, Meek Mill’s net worth of $9 million still does not come close to Nicki Minaj’s net worth. As for her female trash talker Remy Ma, her net worth is only $500,000 dollars.
