Entity shares facts about Noah Cyrus.

The 17-year-old younger sister of mega superstar Miley Cyrus is making her way into the spotlight.

Living with such an icon as an older sister is no easy task, especially when trying to start her own singing career. Not to mention the constant comparisons people make between Noah and Miley Cyrus.

We’re here to offer some quick fun facts about Noah Cyrus, and highlight some of her biggest milestones on her road to fame.

1 she has the same birthday as David Bowie and Elvis.

Great minds think alike, apparently. If you’re trying to become a famous singer, what better way to start than to be born on the same date as two of the biggest names in music. Like ever. Just about 60 years later.

2 she had a brief stint on Hannah Montana.

And by brief we mean really brief. Her character didn’t even have a name. She was just “girl with ice cream.”  But still, we applaud you for your effort.

3 she released her first single at age 16.

Noah Cyrus’ “Make Me (Cry)” was her debut single. The song was released in November of 2016. In case you didn’t know, 16 is pretty young to already be releasing singles. And not just singles, but successful ones, too.

4 she’s okay with being compared to Miley.

Noah Cyrus told Billboard that she knows whatever songs she sings will inevitably be compared to those sang by Miley. But she actually doesn’t really care. She said “We’re going to be told that we sound alike,” but that “it doesn’t bother” her.

5 she starred in a movie.

Or rather, her voice did. “Ponyo,” a feature-length cartoon movie was released in 2009. And Noah Cyrus was the voice of the mermaid princess. What better way to start your acting career?

We admire Noah’s bravery in heading into an industry that her family is so involved in already. But she really is charting a new path for herself and becoming a star in her own way.

If you haven’t already, go check out her other new singles, “Stay Together” (our personal fave), and “I’m Stuck.”

We’re definitely excited to see what Noah does next!
