We all know at least one woman on your Instagram feed whose outfits are always so on point that you dream of stealing from her closet. Thanks to the app, Like to Know It, your fashion dreams might become reality.

As most online fashionistas already know, anyone can begin using Like to Know It by registering on the app’s website. According to JCK, once the app is integrated into users’ Instagram accounts, they can “like” a post with a “www.liketk.it” link and – quicker than you can say “Fashion Week” – receive an email with links for buying everything in the photo.

Considering that more than 5,000 fashion bloggers have participated with the app (and have driven over $25 million in sales), it’s obvious that technology is blurring the lines between fashion bloggers and their virtual fans. It’s not enough to look at fashion icons – we want to look like them. Now, women may feel less like fans and more like best friends simply borrowing from their fashionable BFF’s closet – by using a credit card, anyway.

Like to Know It is more than a tool to transform the virtual into the tangible. It’s becoming an app for economic exchange as major fashion retailers like Vogue, Urban Outfitters, Neiman Marcus, Selfridges and Matches Fashion join the Like to Know It movement. Watch out, Instagram. Like to Know It may turn you into the next major platform for commercialized content and commerce.
