Good romance movies are always on demand. Whether it’s a romantic comedy, romance drama or sci-fi romance, everyone loves a good love story.

Thankfully, many great romances have been released in 2017. And to help make your next movie night easier, we’ve compiled a list of these films for you.

Here are the must-see romance movies that will have you laughing, crying, screaming and all of the above at the same time.

1 “Beauty and the Beast”

The 2017 “Beauty and the Beast” is the live-action version of the classic 1991 film, starring Emma Watson as Belle, a smart, beautiful and independent young woman.

She was taken by the beast (Dan Stevens) and held captive in his castle in order to save her father. Belle becomes friends with the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to understand the Beast’s kind heart, despite his horrible looks.

The movie was released on March 2017 and brought in over $1.26 billion to the box office.

2 “Fifty Shades Darker”

Fifty Shades Darker” is the second film in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” trilogy. This romance movie you must watch.

The second film follows Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) as he tries to get Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) back into his life. She demands a new arrangement before she will give him another chance. But, Christian’s past gets in the way of building trust, thus destroying their hopes for a future together.

“Fifty Shades Darker” was released in February 2017 and brought in $378.8 million to the box office.

3 “Everything, Everything”

“Everything, Everything” is the kind of movie that will pull your heart strings and have you crying the whole time.

The film focuses on Maddy (Amandla Stenberg) an 18-year-old  girl under house protection because of an illness. Olly (Nick Robinson) is the boy next door who forms a bond with Maddy by talking through windows and texts. They risk everything just to be together.

The movie was released in May 2017 and grossed $46 million in the box office.

4 “The Space Between Us”

This science-fiction film follows the life of Gardner Elliot (Asa Butterfield), the first human born on Mars.

He begins an online friendship with Tulsa (Britt Robertson), a teen in Colorado. The 16-year-old takes a voyage to Earth and gets to experience the life he spent his lifetime reading about. However, Gardner runs into problems when he finds out his organs may be failing due to Earth’s atmosphere and gravity. This, then, leaves Tulsa and him to unravel the mysteries of how he came to be and where he belongs.

“The Space Between Us” was released in February 2017 and brought in $14.8 million to the box office.

5 “Everybody Loves Somebody”

The comedy film “Everybody Loves Somebody” starring “How to Get Away with Murder‘s” Karla Souza will have you rolling on the floor.

Clara Barron (Karla Souza) is smart, successful woman living in a beautiful house in Los Angeles. She has a Mexican family that knows how to have fun and she seems to have her life under control. Except, of course, her love life.

She asked her co-worker to accompany her to a wedding in Mexico, where she bumps into her ex-boyfriend. Clara now has to choose between her ex-boo or the possibility of starting something new.

“Everybody Loves Somebody” was released in February 2017 and brought in $1.9 million to the box office.
