“Modern Family” star Sarah Hyland is best known for her role as Haley Dunphy in the sitcom. But recently, she’s also become known for her viral Chainsmokers cover.
When people found out she was going to be in the ABC remake of “Dirty Dancing,” they all wondered if she was going to sing in the show. To Hyland fans, this came as no surprise since Hyland actually has a long history of singing.
From starring in “Annie” to her role in “Modern Family,” Hyland has been singing in shows for a while now. But if this is news to you, here is a list of five times Hyland has shown off her singing talents for everyone who hasn’t had the pleasure of hearing her wonderful voice.
Hyland acted in this TV movie when was just nine years old. And despite her age, she was already very talented. And we don’t even have to tell you which one is her because we’re sure you’ll recognize her the minute you see her.
Let’s not forget this scene in “Modern Family.” She belted this song out beautifully.
After this cover came out, both The Chainsmokers and Halsey gave a shout out to Hyland for doing the cover. Halsey even said, “She did better than me. I’m so upset.” So basically, even Halsey agrees that Hyland is an amazing singer.
This live play ran for a little over a month in Nov. 2014. This parody was a campy version of the movie “Scream” with a cheeky narration. As for Hyland? She simply proves that she’s able to sing in any scenario she’s thrown into.
In this duet, Sarah Hyland and J. Quinton Johnson cover Bob Dylan’s “Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright.” At this point, there really are no words to describe her amazing pipes.
Her acting career started in 1997 in the movie “Private Parts.” Ultimately, she landed her major role in “Modern Family” in 2009. In between these roles, she starred in smaller projects and attended the Professional Performing Arts School in Manhattan, New York.
Hyland’s acting and singing skills make her the ultimate double threat.
