Entity shares the best way to feel confident again.

Admittedly, It can be hard to be #boss 100 percent of the time.  Even the strongest, most passionate women can find their confidence waning at certain moments.  Sometimes, tough times can make you feel as if you’re in that James Franco movie, 127 Hours: you’re in between a rock and a hard place. In times like these, it’s important to remember that deep down, you’re a #girlboss, and the world is ripe for the taking.  It doesn’t matter if you’re being beat down by work, by your peers, or focusing on yourself — you owe it to yourself to find some mental peace of mind.

Here are five ways to regain your confidence so you can get out there and kick the world’s butt.

1 Tell yourself 10 things you like about yourself

So, you’re not feeling so confident because your boss yelled at you due to a menial mistake. Or you tripped in front of that person you totally have a crush on.  In those moments when you’re feeling like the world could come crashing down all around you, take a moment.  Take a breath and then tell yourself 10 things you like about yourself, physically and/or emotionally. It will help you see yourself in a positive light.

2 Treat yourself a little

It may seem overplayed, but a little self-love can help to boost your self-confidence. Whether it’s taking a nice bath, reading your favorite book, television show, eating your favorite food, or getting that sweater you’ve been eyeing online — treating your body and mind to a reward will help boost your mood and your confidence.

3 Look at your accomplishments

During moments when you’re lacking confidence, it can feel as if everything you’re doing will never go right.  To regain a confident perspective, look back at all of your accomplishments.  While you may feel as if there is nothing you can do right in that moment, there are obviously things you’ve done right in the past. Focusing on the things you know you’ve done right will help balance out your situation.

4 Focus on your values and morals

Taking stock of things you hold near and dear to you will help you regain a brighter perspective.  Look to those who are closest to you and offer support. If you’re secure in your values and sense of self, you will feel confident in your choices and their relation to your identity.

5 Manage your goals

There are times when a lack of confidence will make you feel as if there is way too much on your plate. Taking a step back, centering yourself, and trying to approach your goals one at time will help. This will make your workload feel more manageable while allowing you to feel more accomplished each time you complete a task.
