She got surgery because she wanted a six pack.
Tara Reid made her breakout role in a little 1999 film called “American Pie.” The sexy blonde quickly transformed into the early 2000s “it” girl. She also went on to pose for magazine covers for big names like Maxim.
But who is she outside of of “American Pie”?
We did some digging and here’s what we found about her.
At the age of six, little Tara Reid started her career in commercials. She did commercials for brands such as Jell-O, McDonald’s, Crayola and Milton Bradley. Here she is at a young age predicting her fame.
And when “Saved By The Bell” was remade, Reid also made an appearance.
“Cruel Intentions,” star Ryan Phillippe and Sarah Michelle Gellar, who play upper class villains trying to belittle people one conquest at a time. The film stars Phillippe as a casanova who manipulates women to sleep with him because he’s rich, attractive and doesn’t really have anything else to do with his time.
In the scene where Phillippe’s character, Sebastian, is speaking to his therapist about his newfound good Samaritan transformation, you see a picture of Reid on the therapist’s desk once the session is over.
Sebastian asks, “Is this your daughter?” He then goes on to caress her picture and ends with, “Now this is the type of girl I should be with.” As he makes his exit, the therapist’s daughter, Tara Reid, is hysterically crying about how there are nude pictures of her on the web. How they got there is because of none other than Sebastian. Why’d he do it? Because the therapist charged way too much apparently.

Remember when “TRL” aka Total Request Live was on MTV? It featured a countdown of the most popular music videos and it also featured guests, such as Britney Spears, Mariah Carey and Destiny’s Child. The host of the show, Carson Daly, was linked to Reid in the early 2000s.
The couple met at an event in Cancun, Mexico and fell head over heels for each other.
Sadly, the engagement did not last and the couple split when Reid was 26 years old.
In an interview with PEOPLE, she expressed that the breakup was devastating.
“I literally thought I couldn’t breathe … Every restaurant, every food, every song reminded me of him. I’m okay now, but there are times I definitely miss him … I’ve never had my heart broken before.”
It seemed like Reid finally found Hollywood bliss when she settled down with Bulgarian cash cow, Zack Kehayov. Tara Reid’s husband was not really Tara Reid’s husband, though. They were never actually legally married, and in 2011 they announced their separation.
To add more drama to her life, Reid was featured on the show “Marriage Bootcamp,” but was kicked off for faking her relationship with Dean May.
As for her relationship status now, Reid looks like she’s having fun. And that’s alright.
Tara Reid went under the knife for a breast augmentation and liposuction, but was horrified by what she woke up to.
She woke up to breasts that she wasn’t satisfied with, which she described as boobs that looked similar to a “ripple-like” stomach.
“I got lipo because even though I was skinny, I wanted – I’m not going to lie – a six-pack. I had body contouring, but it all went wrong. My stomach became the most ripply, bulgy thing,” she said in a statement, according to OC Register.
Luckily, Reid had reconstruction surgery that she says was painful but worth it. “I’ll never be perfect again, but I’ve got my self-confidence back,” she added.
Outside of her surgery issues, though, Tara seems to be doing alright onscreen. Tara Reid is currently promoting “Sharknado 5: Global Swarming” and still has a net worth of over 2 million.
