According to their website the THINX panties are “period-proof underwear that keep you dry & #leakproof.”

We have lots of questions.

Who thought of this? Were normal tampons/pads not satisfying the needs? Although we have questions, they seem to be somewhat successful. Their Facebook page has a little bit over 228K people that like the page.

So, here at Entity we thought it would be interesting to see some of the Reviews left on the THINX period panties to see if they’re truly effective.

Here we go…

Do they keep up in the wash?

Somer Besch left this review on the Facebook page and it seems as though they ended up falling apart. According to the THINX website the best way to wash the underwear is to first rinse them by hand.

Then you throw them in the cold wash with your other delicate aka lingerie items. So, according to Somer their washing instructions might not be the best.

No smells…

Sara says that the period panties do a good job of not smelling. So, if smell is a concern when you’re on your period then this might be a better alternative to pads or tampons for you.

Don’t knock em’ till you try them.

I can appreciate Jenna’s philosophy of don’t knock em’ till you try them. Up until the THINX period panties came out we were all accustomed to using pads and tampons.

So, the philosophy of not knocking something until you try them actually makes a lot of sense. How will you know if you like something if you don’t try it?

They actually work!

So, as we can tell from Laurel and most of the reviews, it seems that the THINX period panties actually work. If you’re in the mood to try to be more eco-friendly or simply try a new method of dealing with your period… THINX might be the way to go.
