The 2016 election results are wreaking havoc in more than just the political arena. On Friday’s episode of “The View,” co-host Joy Behar reveals a new struggle many couples are suffering in the bedroom: “electile dysfunction.”

“Have you noticed that your wife is disgusted by the sight of you lately?” Joy asks the audience at the start of the show. She explains  that couples’ sex lives are suffering because women are feeling disgusted by their partners following the election, says a recent study.

Co-host Jedidiah Bila says she understands the phenomenon, explaining that “women feel vulnerable” after the election of a man who seemingly does not care about them or about the issues that are important to them.

However, she thinks of it as more of a “power struggle” as opposed to women being repulsed by their own husbands. They’re “lashing out at society,” she reasons.

Jedidiah thinks it also relates to the loss of a powerful woman in presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, adding that women are likely subconsciously thinking: “She may have lost, but I’m gonna win.”

Co-host Sara Haines was on the same page, explaining that when you disagree with your partner about something so important, “the last thing  you want to do is touch them.”

Joy concurrs, guessing that after an election full of disgusting comments toward women – such as Trump infamously saying to “grab them by the pussy” – many are thinking, “You voted for that schmuck? I’m not sleeping with you!”

She quips, “We’re building a wall around our vaginas!”

However, co-host Paula Faris took the opposition, finding it a bit ridiculous to let politics into the bedroom. She admits that she and her husband did not vote for the same person, but assures the audience, “That’s okay.”
