Follow these rules, and you might just get a second date.
In the off-chance you get asked out on a date, you’ll have the daunting and nearly impossible task of figuring out what to wear.
But fear not. We at ENTITY are here to save the day! We’ll provide you with some infallible rules when planning what to wear on a first date.
If you’re clearly super uncomfortable, you’ll just look awkward. Which will lead your date to believe that something is very very wrong. Avoid pants that are so tight that they hinder you from sitting down. Because, as you’ll soon find out, most dates usually involve sitting in one way or another.
If you’re going to dinner, wear something that won’t burst when you eat, which also tends to happen on dates. If you’re going for drinks, don’t get too drunk. That’s just awkward.
Yes, that flowy sundress would look just PERFECT with those wedges you’ve never worn. You have your outfit set and you’re ready to go. But wait, what’s that you just remembered?
It’s pouring rain and also the middle of winter. If you still need a way to show off some skin while not freezing half to death, try either a v-neck sweater with pants or a long-sleeved dress with heels.
If you’re going basically anywhere besides the movies, chances are your date will definitely see your face. So do at least try to put in some effort.
But keep it low key. There’s no need to try a winged cat eye for the very first time 10 minutes before the dinner reservation.
Really try not to overthink your outfit too much. Chances are, your date won’t even really notice. He most likely asked you out for you, not for your clothes. And if it was for the clothes, there’s probably a bigger issue there.
Bottom line when planning what to wear on a first date? Keep it somewhat casual, but appropriate depending on where you’re going. Wear something that you feel comfortable in, and you should make it out of there alive.
