ENTITY Academy writing mentors

The Entity Mag Mentorship gave me challenging assignments, but they also armed me with the skills needed to complete them. Thanks to my ENTITY Academy writing mentors, I have the confidence to go anywhere and know that even if I lack experience, I can do anything through hard work.

Here are three things I gained from ENTITY Academy that will prepare me for the “real world.”

1 Community

After I graduated and left the diverse, supportive community of UCLA, I hoped that wherever I worked would provide a similar environment. The Entity Mag mentorship gave me just that. Working with a unique group of people and my ENTITY Academy writing mentors created an encouraging learning environment. Though we were from different walks of life, we came together through ENTITY Academy, sharing goals to empower ENTITY users, each other and ourselves.

Through the long days and pressure of deadlines, we encouraged and helped one another learn and improve. We shared our thoughts, laughs, experiences and even food.

I may not remember all the articles I wrote or assignments I did, but I will remember my fellow ENTITY interns and my ENTITY Academy writing mentors with whom I shared this precious experience. Through the triumphs and struggles, we made it.

2 Inspiration

Through ENTITY Academy, I was able to meet and listen to the stories of powerful, inspiring women working in business, media, design, sustainability and philanthropy.

Because of ENTITY Academy, I received invaluable mentorship and training from successful women who worked hard and became experts in their fields.  They were truly #WomenThatDo. Their amazing experiences and testimonies inspired me to be unafraid to put myself out there and refuse to be held back by other people and social expectations.

3 Challenges

ENTITY Academy writing mentors and soft skills

This internship is not a walk in the park. It will challenge and push you. But the best part? It teaches you that you can do anything. That sure was the case for me.

I consider all the challenges I faced during ENTITY Academy as invaluable. This internship demanded me to learn new skills quickly, learn to be comfortable with the unknown and do things I never thought I could do.

I learned how to write four articles in one day, how to use all five Adobe programs, how to pitch article ideas and how to market events to businesses and influencers.

So if you’re still wondering if you should sign up for this mentorship-internship, do it. You’ll find a community where you feel like you truly belong, inspiration that’s hard to find and skills that will equip you for any challenge.
