Entity shares 4 reasons why confident women win

Confident women know what they want and how to get it.

Unfortunately, however, our culture teaches women at a young age that being confident equates to narcissism or bossiness.

Though research suggests confidence isn’t the primary factor attributing to women’s success in the workplace, a 2011 survey done by the Institute of Leadership and Management found that women feel less confident in their professional lives than their equally qualified male counterparts. In that same study, half of British women surveyed reported feelings of self-doubt when it came to their profession, while less than a third of men felt similarly.

While women may think passivity and humility are sure to reward them someday, other studies have shown that it’s the assertive, confident and even sometimes aggressive women who end up with more business promotions.

It’s time for women to find their inner confidence to excel not only in the workplace but in life. Here are four reasons why confident women win:

1 THEY ARE NOT AFRAID TO ASK FOR WHAT THEY WANT.

You’re never going to get your dream job if you don’t apply, nor are you going to score that hot date if your crush doesn’t know you like him or her. Confident women know what they want and aren’t afraid to let those around them know it too.

2 PEOPLE DON’t QUESTION THEIR ABILITIES.

Have you ever noticed that the more you outwardly doubt yourself, the more others do, too? If you’re taking up a big project and you let your anxiety or self-doubts seep through, others are less likely to trust your abilities.

3 THEY ARE MORE SUCCESSFUL.

Because confident women know and ask for what they want and don’t question their own abilities, they’re more likely to get promotions, dates and succeed in life.

4 THEY ARE HAPPIER AND FEEL BETTER ABOUT THEMSELVES.

Women who are confident feel better about themselves. It’s simple; if you’re confident in yourself, you’re likely happier because you’re satisfied with your life and what you’re doing. Who knew the secret to happiness was simply believing in yourself?
