ENTITY shares the 6 reasons why Dwayne Johnson is the sexiest man alive.

Dwayne Johnson has been named People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive 2016, following the likes of David Beckham, Chris Hemsworth, Adam Levine and Channing Tatum to the coveted title.

The six foot five tall, 260 pound gentle giant went from wrestling fame as “The Rock” to movie stardom in a string of films, including the “Fast and the Furious” franchise, but describes this honor as “the pinnacle.”

ENTITY offers six reasons why Johnson, 44, is the ultimate sex symbol.

1 He’s got brains as well as brawn

Johnson has a degree in criminology from the University of Miami.  He went there on a football scholarship but when an injury sidelined him and wrecked his NFL dreams, he hit the books and focused even harder on his studies.

2 He’ll make you laugh

The sexiest thing about himself is “a sense of humor,” he tells People. Johnson showed his flair for comedy when hosting “Saturday Night Live” in 2000 at the height of his wrestling fame and was so impressive that the appearance put his career on a new path as he started receiving movie offers from Hollywood studios the next day.

He received $5.5 million for his title role in 2002’s “The Scorpion King,”  the highest salary ever paid to an actor in his first starring role, and went on to earn more big money in a string of blockbusters. He was the top grossing actor of 2013, with his films that year collectively earning over $1.3 billion at the worldwide box office, and is highest paid actor of 2016, earning $64.5 million in movie fees this year. His current net worth is reportedly more than $250 million.

4 He’s not married

Johnson is divorced from his college sweetheart Dany Garcia but remains on good terms with her.  The pair co-own a production company, 7 Bucks Productions, and she is now married to Dwayne’s strength and conditioning coach. Dwayne is not single however. His longtime girlfriend is Lauren Hashian (pictured above), the daughter of drummer Sib Hashian of the group Boston. In his autobiography, “The Rock Says,” he admits a long standing attraction for older women – something he set the tone for when losing his virginity to an 18-year-old when he was just 14.

5 He takes care of his appearance

“We’ve only got one face. You’ve got to take care of it. So I exfoliate,” he tells People. “It starts with the skin.” That approach means he always looks good in selfies too. Incidentally, he holds the world record for selfies having taken 105 in three minutes with fans on the red carpet at the London premiere of “San Andreas” in 2015.

6 He smells nice

Dwayne chooses to wear a different cologne for each part he plays because one of his acting tricks for getting into character is to smell like them.  He wore Kenzo for his comedy film “Central Intelligence” but just baby oil and his own sweat for “Furious Seven.”

Johnson, whose next movie sees him voicing the demigod Maui in Disney’s Nov. 23 animated release “Moana,” tells the new issue of People that his appeal comes from, “Probably just not trying to be sexy and just being cool and confident in your movies. I think with a lot of my fans, I’ve gotten to a very, very cool place where there’s a direct line between the man they know off-screen and the man they see on-screen.”
