ENTITY reports on adam driver joanne tucker

Adam Driver plays Adam Sackler, the selfish and terrible boyfriend of Hannah from HBO’s “Girls.” But with wife Joanne Tucker, he’s far from selfish and terrible.

The couple tied the knot in 2013 in a destination wedding attended by his “Girls” co-star Lena Dunham and her boyfriend, Jack Antonoff.

But the couple met long before they got hitched.

They met in 2006 at Juilliard where they both studied acting.

Despite neither of them being on Twitter or Instagram, they prove that posting about each other on Instagram doesn’t equate to being an adorable couple. Here’s proof.

1 They founded a charity together.

Adam Driver joined the Marine Corps after feeling a wave of patriotism after 9/11. He told Rolling Stone that training in the military also confronted him with his own mortality, which made Driver realize that when he got out, he was going to smoke a cigarette and become an actor.

When he was medically discharged after a mountain biking accident, Driver chose to audition for Juilliard again after being rejected the first time. He felt uncomfortable living a cushy life while his friends were overseas.

So, Driver and Tucker began Arts in the Armed Forces, a non-profit organization that provides “high quality theater programming for active duty service members, veterans, military support staff and their families.”

2 She taught him how to be an adult.

He told Rolling Stone that being featured in Gap’s “Back to Blue” campaign and a Vogue spread came as a surprise to him because he’s not fashionable.

“I just kept dressing like a 15-year-old until my wife was basically like, ‘You know, you should wear long pants now. Maybe shorts are good for some people, but not you. And maybe you should get your toe looked at, ’cause, you know, it looks like a turtle shell,'” he said.

And thank goodness she wasn’t afraid to tell him the truth.

3 They didn’t let the fame change them.

“They are very sweet together,” a source told Us. “They’ve been dating forever, years, and live together; [they’re] very comfortable and in love. She was with him before the ‘Girls’ fame.”

And to confirm this, another source close to the couple told Us, “They both love theater and the arts. She respects him so much … Everyone on the show is very happy for them.”

Driver and Tucker aren’t the typical celebrity couple. They didn’t meet on the set of a show and they don’t flaunt their fame around. They stay true to themselves, and it’s so adorable.

4 She helped him adjust to city life.

After leaving the Marines, Driver had a hard time adapting to normal life. When he realized that his aggressive tone was making his Juilliard classmates cry, Tucker helped him adapt.

“She taught me what Gouda cheese is and that you shouldn’t talk with your mouth full and spit on the sidewalk,” he told Broadway.

And since relationships are two-way streets, Driver taught Tucker to expand her reading list. “I told her about Rolling Stone and how it could be interesting and entertaining,” he added.

What’s the point of a relationship if you’re not helping each other grow?

5 He called her his biggest hero.

In an interview with radio station Z96.3, he gushed about his wife and it gave us major heart eye emoji feels.

“My wife is my biggest hero,” Driver told Z96.3. “She ensures that amidst all this Hollywood craziness, I remain a normal person. For example, she’ll persuade me to go and see old friends, even if I’m not really feeling like it. Having a person like that in your life is far more important than a successful career.”

They help each other stay grounded, and it’s just too cute.

Adam Driver and Joanne Tucker are not just a couple, but they’re also a team. From founding a nonprofit organization together to the endless support they provide each other, they’re the definition of relationship goals.
