Entity shares how Ashley Graham goes makeup free for Vogue.

Body positive champion Ashley Graham is sharing her natural beauty on the front cover of Vogue.

Since becoming the first plus-size model to land the front page of a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, Graham has been the spokesperson for embracing all forms of beauty.

So now it’s no surprise that she chose to flaunt a natural face – freckles and all – on the coveted cover of British Vogue’s January 2017 issue.

As a plus-size model, Graham is a positive example for young girls everywhere. She says her work is important because it shares the powerful and important message of loving oneself.

“It’s not just about being healthy; it’s also about loving who you are,” Graham explained. “If you don’t love who you are, you are never going to feel 100 percent satisfied in life. It all starts with you. If you don’t love you, nobody else is going to be able to.”

This past year, she built her brand on unapologetic confidence and the belief that there is “beauty beyond size.” Her work as a model pushes for an inclusive change in the fashion industry. Aside from her Sports Illustrated issue, she has also worked with Mattel to create a Barbie doll without a thigh gap and has designed a collection of plus-size lingerie to celebrate body diversity.

The 28-year-old model also occasionally posts no makeup selfies on her Instagram account.

But regardless of what she’s doing, there’s no doubt that Graham has been a trailblazer in the fashion industry.

As she says, “Young girls need to have role models who are curvy, who are talking about their cellulite, who are talking about their backsides, because not a lot of people are doing that. They’re hiding behind retouching … I just really want to be open.”
