ENTITY shares our favorite female superheroes aside from Wonder Woman.Photo via Instagram/@supergirlcw

In honor of the history-making, record-breaking “Wonder Woman” film, ENTITY’s decided to honor five other badass female heroes.

While Wonder Woman is off lassoing men, we wanted to make sure you knew about all of the other awesome ladies out there saving the world. There’s almost an infinite supply.

While we can’t go through them all, ENTITY’s supplying a starter pack to these badass heroes.

1 Jessica Jones

Let’s start out with a bang. This girl is the definition of a hardcore. A strong as hell sexual assault survivor, Jones came to kick ass and take names. She also takes the occasional glass of brown liquor.

Debuting in Marvel comic books in 2001, Jones made the leap to the small screen with her self-titled Netflix show “Jessica Jones” in 2015.  You can find also find her on Netflix’s “Defenders.”

2 Captain Marvel

Oscar winner Brie Larson will be starring as the US Air Force officer turned superhero, Carol Danvers. Debuting in the 1960s, Danvers gains super powers when an explosion fuses her genes with that of an alien population called the Kree. She was known as Ms. Marvel before taking over the helm of Captain Marvel in 2012.

“Captain Marvel” will be coming to a theater near you in 2019.

3 Ms. Marvel

Someone had to take over the helm when Ms. Marvel became Captain Marvel. That’s just what Kamala Khan did, making her the first Muslim character to lead a Marvel series.

While there’s nothing currently on the books for her film or television-wise, she did appear on the animated series “Avengers Assemble” in their third season.

4 Vixen

One time, a member of both the Justice League and Suicide Squad, Mari McCabe aka Vixen became a pioneering African superhero.

Her power comes from a special totem that allows her to use all of the animal kingdom’s power. Arriving on the scene in 1981, you can catch Mari played by Megalyn Echikunwoke in her animated CW series, “Vixen.” Megalyn also appeared as Vixen in the flesh in a 2016 episode of “Arrow.”

5 Valkyrie

Valkyrie aka Samantha Parrington is the Norse goddess Brunnhilde.  She was handpicked by Odin to lead a whole group of badass warrior goddesses. (We know, they should meet up with some Amazons from “Wonder Woman.”) Her character debuting in comic books in 1970, but you can also catch Tessa Thompson playing Valkyrie when “Thor: Ragnarok” premieres this year on November 3rd.

6 Supergirl

Another (unrelated) Danvers on the list!

Supergirl Kara Danvers aka Kara Zor-El was sent to Earth to protect baby Kal-El (better known as Superman) at the age of 13. But her spaceship veered from course. By the time she wound up landing on Earth, Superman was full grown and she was the child. No matter, though, because Kara grew up to be the hero of her city, just like her cousin.

You can catch Supergirl flying around on the small screen on The CW.

7 Black Widow

We know her. We love her. We don’t understand why she’s in love with the Hulk.

Black Widow has been on the big screen with the Avengers since 2012, but Natasha Romanov’s comic book debuted back in 1964. During this debut, she was still a Russian spy. She later moved to work with the US and became an Agent of S.H.E.I.L.D and an Avenger.

Fans have been asking for a solo Black Widow feature for forever. While we don’t know if that’ll happen, we’ll definitely see her again in “Avengers: Infinity War,” slated for 2018.

8 Badass Bonus: Gotham City Sirens

While it does currently have the same director as 2016’s “Suicide Squad,” we can’t deny the sirens their due. We’re hoping these badass ladies are done justice when the “Gotham City Sirens” movie premieres. The team consists of fan favorites like Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and Catwoman. Here’s to hoping for some serious Harley Quinn + Poison Ivy action.
