Entity shares the best drugstore makeup according to Entity mag mentees and staff.

The days where you could only purchase good quality makeup at a high-end store like Sephora have come to an end.

Every few months, brands at drugstores are releasing products that shock the makeup-loving community. A drugstore is a pharmacy that also sells toiletries. An example of this is Target. Makeup brands like Milani and Essence are two drugstore brands that continue to shake up the makeup community.

Here Entity shares some of our favorite drugstore makeup picks. Enjoy!

Primer (E.L.F. Poreless Face Primer)

“It minimizes pores, it’s easy to apply, and the foundation goes on smooth.” — Giullianna De La Rosa

This primer is great because it reduces the look of fine lines and pores. It’s the perfect first step before you apply the rest of your makeup since this works as a great base. It’s infused with Tea Tree and Vitamins A&E. Tea tree is good for the skin to help with acne and remove makeup.

Foundation/BB Cream (Rimmel London BB Cream)

“I like the Rimmel London BB Cream because of the water gel technology. It feels lightweight on my face, but provides enough coverage for days I don’t want to go all out.” — Stephanie Mejia aka me

The incredible thing about this BB cream is that it has a water gel technology that fuses with the skin. That allows it to feel like the makeup isn’t just sitting on top of your face. It’s lightweight, comfortable and has SPF 15. It’s $6.49 at Target, but it can sometimes be cheaper at Walmart.

Lipstick/Colored Chapstick (Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm)

“I love the Burt’s Bee tinted lip balm because it’s moisturizing and gives my lips a pop of natural-looking color without being out of place on a makeup-less face.” — Elena Ender

This tinted lip balm is made of shea butter and botanical waxes which will leave your lips feeling hydrated for up to eight hours. It’s perfect to be tossed into your purse or backpack for when you’re on the go. Because it adds some color, you won’t even have to worry about having another lip product. And, it’s currently only $5 at Macy’s!

Eyeshadow (Ardell Beauty Eyeresistible Eye Shadow)

“It goes on smooth and it’s creamy, highly-pigmented and it’s easy to apply.”  — Giullianna De La Rosa

What’s great about this product is that it claims to be crease-proof and mess-free. Because it comes in a tube rather than a palette, this is the perfect eyeshadow to toss in your purse when you’re on the go. It’s only $9.99 at Sally Beauty!

Eyeliner (Revlon ColorStay Creme Gel Eye Liner

“This gel liner is a lifesaver. It applies smoothly and easily onto my lid, which is helpful when you’re always in a rush, but still tying to perfect your cat eye. Aside from that, it’s also very pigmented, water-proof and long-lasting. No need to worry about smudges throughout the day, even if your skin is on the oilier side.” — Angelica Pronto

What’s great about this product is that it’s meant to last up to 24 hours. Also, it has a built-in brush, which means you don’t have to carry around an extra brush. 2-in-1 products are our favorite! It can be found at Target for $5.99.

Mascara (Rimmel London VolumeFlash Scandaleyes Mascara)

“It gives me a lot of length and volume and it’s a good price. I use it daily and it gives me a bang for my buck.” — Frances Senigram

This product is only $5.59 and it gives you the length you want without all those clumps in your lashes. The purpose of this mascara is to thicken and lengthen. And, here at Entity we think it does a great job.

EcoTools brushes (Travel Collection)

“I’ve used the brushes for three years and it hasn’t fallen apart.” — Kendall Allen

What’s great about these brushes and the EcoTools brand is that they’re cruelty-free, tree-free, and their products are made from recycled materials. The traveling collection brush set is available for $9.99 online.
