ENTITY supports Chelsea Handler calling on women to 'get behind each other.'

Chelsea Handler has called on women to stop fostering competition, malice and cattiness towards each other.

“Ladies, we can do better than this,” she urges in an open letter posted on the Thrive Global website.

The talk show host’s letter follows November’s election results showing that 94 percent of black women voted for Hillary Clinton while 53 percent of white women voted for Donald Trump.

In response to these statistics, Handler, who publicly supported Clinton throughout her candidacy, points out that “we don’t just have a problem with men supporting women in this country; we have a problem with women supporting women.”

While her letter questions why women didn’t vote for Clinton, “arguably the most qualified presidential candidate in modern American history,” the 41-year-old comedian and Netflix star also looks to the future and tells women “do a better job going forward.”

“Forget the jealousy. Forget the competitiveness. We are stronger together,” Handler says. “Look around. Get away from yourself. Find women to support. Throw your weight behind them. Get involved.”

Chelsea encourages her readers stop talking about a woman’s weight or her fashion sense. “We are better than this. We have got to get behind each other,” she adds. “We have to stop ourselves from the snide comments that come easily and out of jealousy that are simply a projection of our own insecurities.”

Instead, women should celebrate their differences, grow away from the cutthroat mentality and show others the power of womanhood.

This can be done in a variety of ways and it doesn’t have to be a big gesture. Supporting another woman can be as simple as giving someone a compliment instead of being critical. It can also mean applauding another woman’s success instead of being resentful.

“Let’s open our arms to each other,” Handler says. “We can do better than this, ladies, and we will during the next four years as we stand up for women, children, the majority vote and American justice against the Trumpian whitemare.”

Handler closes her letter by pledging to stand up for other women. “I know I can do better, and I will. It starts now.”
